I had the Buell race kit on my M2, got tired of the knee bruise, bought a used Force off ebay for around $80, and couldn't tell the difference from the Race Kit, performance-wise, but it totally cleared my knee. Then I bought the Carbon Fiber one, again a super-easy bolt-on affair, and can't tell the difference in engine performance, but it weighs about an ounce, and looks way cooler. So, no more hitting with the knee with the Force-type, this alone was enough of an improvement for me, a huge improvement. I would give up a couple horsepower on top to have the knee clearance. According the NHRS dyno test, don't really give up anything significant with the Force. (Message edited by jayvee on November 28, 2008) |

I was looking for my old dyno runs -- but I think they never made it to the new computer. I guess I could call NRHS and get the couple that I did there -- As I recall the best run was 93 hp with the Race Ecm Supertrapp and Force--not bad for a stock FI bike with a few bolt ons running about a mile high. As I said earlier I just think it looks better with the ham out of the can and showing -- |
