Hello all! I was hoping you all could provide me with some helpful advice. I am wondering what a fair price would be for a 2000 Buell Blast with 2,700 miles on it? It has no modifications except for a windscreen. The bike has been dropped once. The rear tire needs to be replaced. The seller is asking $2,300.
Thanks in advance for any help =)

Offer $1,700.00 - not a penny more - the cost for rockercover gasket and rejetting. Also make sure the pully is the correct one - that it has already been swapped out - a 2000 Blast recall - gratus from the factory/dealership, but the bike has to get there first to have it done. I'd take a 2000 Blast in a heart beat though - first year and all that, depends what you really plan to do to the bike.

I paid $2,000 for my '00 blast and it only had 1030 miles on it. Of course within the first 300 miles I had to replace the rocker gasket. But you can find good deals on used blasts all day long. Check e-bay, that's where I found mine. $2300 is a lil' steep.

I got a 2003 with 350 miles for 3,000 on ebay. Considering the price of a brand new 2004 I thought this was an ok deal.

My girlfriend just bought a 2003 blast with 2400mi. on it for $2500 from Kegel HD in Rockford IL. It looks brand new (no sh*t) and was a one owner trade in not a "riders edge" bike. They threw in/mounted a new rear tire. After looking around a bit, we decided this was a fair deal.

Fair price and buying from a dealer they should have given a thorough check.
Do make sure to check it out yourself. A telltale sign of any maintenance is if they removed the spacer for the primary adjustment.

jusask seems like a fair price especially from a dealer. I picked up an 03 last fall for 2300 with 400 miles from a private party who's parents said get rid of the bike : ) easiest oil change, hardest trans fluid changes I've ever done : )

If it is running and clean, you got a great deal! Be advised, if it still has the original ignition module, you may have issues with it down the road unless who you bought from has already had to deal with it. I have the same year, and when I bought it it had 2000 miles on it. Got 5 miles down the road and the bike died. Not to worry you, just giving a heads up. 2001 is notorious for the original mods living short lives.
