Aloha Guys,

Saw someone on here who had painted the raised lettering on their tires and I decided to copy them! Duplicolor makes "tire pens" in red, white and yellow, but alas, no one will ship them to Hawaii (a common problem with stuff like ammo, gases, volatile chemicals etc that usually go UPS Ground..).
Anyway, found a product called DECO-Color Opaque Marker Pens...a yellow one in fine tip cost me $4. Claims to be 'weatherproof" so perhaps that means it will stay on for a while. (It very well might be the same product Duplicolor sells..). All I did was quickly wash and dry the tires then carefully apply two coats to the raised lettering. I just did one of the two logos on each side of the tire.
Results are shown..

I think it looks cool and really makes the Pirellis pop. It's the perfect way to trick out your Blast (or other wheel-based toys) when you are bored. They make about 20 colors so you should be set. I'll let you know how it holds up over the next few months...

It does look cool. I do that to my tires too. But it does start to fade and crack after a few months. If you was your bike regularly and detail it then it'll stay lookin good.

Love that look - especially since I am really loving my ST 66 right now.

I would really love it if my wheel looked that clean - no matter how much I clean, my bike never really looks clean enough.

Stop riding it and it will stay cleaner! ; )

White letter tires look good. A throwback to the 70's (?) when some HD's came with them!

Yeah, they look pretty clean don't they? These are the new Pirellis I got a month ago and they only have 200 miles on them so far.
Love em and even a noob like me can tell they are better than the Dunlops. Kinda suprising.

Hey I've seen pics of your bike Ez and it's way cleaner and in better shape. My bike is kinda beat up looking in person.

But now I'm starting to really enjoy riding! I think I've got about 350 miles under my belt so far during my first 2 months. I'm getting out on the ONE ROAD we have and having a ball. Pretty hard to rack up big miles on such a small island..

Those pics happen because cleaning happened - but I do not let cleaning happen over riding, so usually I'll do that on rainy days or after a set of mods, not many of those days in Cali. so the bike does get dirty.

You clean on rainy days? Odd that, my bike gets cleaned when it rains as well!

Instead of pens, people in the old days used to use chalk. . . only problem is it wore off after a while. Cool idea. . .might try with chalk to see if i like it, and if I dont just wash off.

Looks great! It's the little things, innit? I love seeing other peoples' Blasts and how they are done up.

My header pipe was super rusty when I bought the bike - is that what the V&H exhaust looks like before it spends a 5 years on Corrosion Island? So much nicer!

And I really need to get a rear wheel stand.

So now when me and Sycho roll up we're styling...

Sorry Blaster209. Didn't mean to ignore your question, I just now saw it. I'm not sure about the Corbin, I bought it secondhand. All I can say is they sure are heavy, I think a stock seat sent off to Sargents to be customized would be a better route to go. Unfortunately the tab on my stock seat is broken and I would get in trouble if I spent a large chunk-of-change again on my bike.
