so my SV died last week for a little bit waiting on a engine...

so i bought this Blast P3 and its exactly that.. its the most fun in town i have had in a long time in charlotte its fun to throw it over when making a right or a left and throw a foot out dirt bike style and scrape something i need rearsets...

my problem is i own the bike for now in 4 months its going to a friends son he is 17 and its his first bike.. SO... i am not going to do any mods to it really.. well i will install a stearing damper on it.. as for this thing is horrible on the highway.. and through a turn at high speed almost scary and i want it to be safe for shawn

anyways the bike is a 2001 P3 with 1270miles on it when i bought it 1380 now i think

got it here last night from atlanta GA

and like any good bikers you all could care less about all this and just want to see the damn pictures so...

Welcome to the Thumper Forum Wooody!

If it still has the stock Dunlops on it, changing to a different brand of tire will really make the bike handle like it is a different bike. Check out the tire section in the Knowledge vault.

Double concur! Going to something else than the Dunlops will make more difference than a damper. Super safe, cheap and runs nice at 100mph-Pirelli's!

PS Seen a million stock Blasts, but the forks and other parts hanging of the wall (and the floor) are much more interesting! The only thing more interesting than someone else garage is a junkyard (or 'lovers lane', iron graveyard, etc.)

Triple concur, I just got a pair of the Pirelli MT 75's put on my 02' Blast(had the Dunlop's removed) and I am still amazed at the difference just driving down the freeway, not to mention cornering. I'd strongly recommend the Pirelli's

Welcome aboard Wooody,

Yeah the blast is a sweetheart. I have the same issue as you do. Anything over 60 and it starts to worry me. I need to get new tires too. Let us know what kind you decide on.

I frequently find myself doing over 80, and it's smooth as silk!
