How much is your insurance on your Blast? I was very pleasantly surprised how cheap it is.

I was paying about $200 to Progressive for my Blast. When I added my 09 HD FXD, it only jumped to $400 for both. I guess they figure big air-cooled Harleys don't go to fast. : ) The craziest part was adding my wife who just got her M endorsement -- my rate actually decreased about 4%. They must assume I'll ride safer if she's riding along with me!

I'm just under $200 for me alone. They must know the wife won't even get on it.

One Question - are any of you covered for the cost of your Mods - value added to bike for theft and damage? Both of my Blasts are for 3 grand above cost. LOL The true mind of an accountant at work - I paid a total of 531 for both Blasts, and dropping one Blast and adding a CR I paid 553. - the Blast still carrying the additional coverage.

The Blast is $116.Full coverage, 100k/300k, $3500 additional accessories. All 3 (currently covered) bikes is $691, but only the 1977 doesnt have full coverage (too old).

$50,000 property damage. LOL! I'm not sure how'd I'd do that kind of property damage to anything, unless I hit maybe a parked Rolls or Ferrari.

We pay just over $500 a year for full coverage on a 2008 XB12SCG and a 2006 Blast here in the Orlando area.

I have 2 Blasts, and a Sporty(with collision) and a Uly(with collision) and it is costing me a wopping $1000 per year for all 4 through Foremost.

If anybody has any hot lines on insurance(Michigan no-fault) let me know, I could use a break!

You are probably paying about 325 for collision on each, and 175 for each of the blasts. That's reasonable. If you want to cut your insurance, dump 3... and keep one Blast!

cycleinsure.com
are good - you can get quick quotes from them as well that are accurate to their actual charges. Quotes and reality being two different things - sometimes. I've tried about everybody.

If you call the HOG number they will put you in touch with HD Insurance (which is really just a broker) and will give you 3 different quotes. Thats how I found Foremost which was cheaper than Farmers. Since Foremost is Farmers I just called my agent and had it switched!

It depends with Dairyland if the Blast is your daily ride or if you have a bigger bike you use more. Coverage for my Blast is under $100/yr full, but it's a secondary bike on my policy, the 1203 cc being primary.
