WolffSoul: Could you please detail where the "bits" are from: Seat (Corbin?) Tail protector, and neto bars are from. I keep wallowing on pulling the trigger on a new Blast or a new Kymco People S250 scooter, but your Blast could push me in the right direction. Thanks

Hey everybody. I recently purchased a Buell Blast from a buddy that shipped off to Iraq. It was yellow, and in good shape, but did not start. He was the original owner, so it just needed to be cleaned up. I did not appreciate how the thing looked, but it was fun, as you all know, so I wanted to ride it. I live in AZ, been to the twin cities a few times, lake Como(sp) I love; so I can ride year round. Long story short, I wanted to stand out in the crowd, so I tore into her and came up with this. I would really like honest opinions of the bike. Kristian over at copyright1979.com did all the customizing, even the tail. What do you think?

Really very nice! A couple more pics and a brief description of all the mods would be really cool - are those the stock handle bars?
Really nice job with the tail and color combos - still working on the rear of the seat itself though?

I wouldn't mount my rear turn lights so low either. Looks like a pretty big safety problem. Bike looks nice, but I would rather my lights be more visible... Unless you are using some kind of super reflective paint that blinks with the blinker : )

Speaking of tail lights... anyone ever used this guys kit? I figured he'd be a member of this board.

Yikes! A group buy! If I had to order a lot of parts all at once, I get a volume discount that I could pass on.

I'd love to have a set. The biggest thing I want is the action of the blinkers with the brakes.

Are your electronics compatible with the standard lights?

The power transistors I use claim to handle the power the signals use, but I haven't tested them. I'll get on it tonight. You really get much better results with LEDs, though.

Just checked. One circuit handled 2 amps without even getting warm. It'll work fine with regular bulbs.

Cool! I'm going to have to wait a little while longer though.

HD still has my bike. Plus I just sank $450 in new tires, inspections, and repairs, then another $150 in a seat, bars, and grips.

You don't have a do it yourself kit option do ya? : )

I am recognized at the local Radio Shack.

Kidding, but I've done my share of R/C and DeVry projects over the years that I would consider myself competent : )

They are waiting on parts. I'm probably going to have to eat the $100 but I'll try one last time with the GM when I go to pick it up. They told me last Friday 3-5 days for parts then assembly time (I would think these parts would be quick) But I'm sure they won't get the tire from Chaparral in time so I'm guessing mid next week : (
