It's inside!

I was joking, but now that I think about it, if you could get one that could be attached to the Blast transmission, you could have 80 hp or more in a small package. The only drawback is the Blast wouldn't vibrate nearly as much. Hmmm...

Buell Dealerships,
I saw a pick up truck pulling a large trailer today that had "Brighton Harly Davidson AND BUELL" The AND BUELL was in bright blue letters.

Thats the dealership that Spiderman(He is truly amazing)went bowling for Harleys at when the Detroit group of Hooligans were going to, to woo the general manager to sponser a BRAG group last year.

Probably delivering! No body is riding these days! At least not around here! The Siberian Cold Front is headed this way for the weekend, temps below zero!

I talked with my friend in Iron Mtn today, they were below zero all day long for the last week.

Well Gearheaderiko, the HD/Buell dealers around here don't even have a Buell hat for sale let alone are interested in selling parts or discuss Buell's.
Eric is losing sales because the dealers are stiffing him. It may not affect HD's bottom line much, but it is regulating the Buell to a side show wannabe real motorcycle brand. I doubt that is what Eric was hoping for.
I think he should find a dealer organization that wants to sell the brand. But I'm looking at other brands of bikes because I am not interested in the HD "family" around here.

The problem is, HD owns the Buell line. It would work better for both if HD would allow Buell to be a partner in its own right. Buell in HD dealerships that want Buell, and Buell dealerships when someone only wants to sell Buell. It should allow the local Honda/Kawasaki or whatever dealer to add Buell to his line. I'm thinking that people looking at sport bikes would see the Buell sitting there, and strongly consider getting one instead of the cookie-cutter Kawahondazuki. It looks like 97% of the people going to HD don't even consider a sport bike in a purchase decision.

My local multi-brand sport bike dealer had a Grape Juice Blast there once. It wasn't even finished being cleaned from being traded in, and someone was already buying it.

Remember the old Commodore Amiga computers? Their technology was so far ahead of its time, and it only took one bad decision to kill the company. If anything like that happens to Buell, I'll be selling my house and buying as many Buells as I can!

Well until I moved to Floride I knew nothing about Buells! Never seen one before in any HD shops! I'm from WI and lived in Il and Pa. I move to Fla and went to HD shops and see these different looking bikes, {I guess cuz ya can ride more here they have more}...looking like they are ready to GO just sitting there. See these Buell signs and so asked what is this?!
Sat on them, then on the one that fit me perfectly and asked if it could be started up.
And well...Proud owner of MY BABY BUELL!! : )

Welcome to th Madness Buellbabeflarr!

You must be close to Buellistic.

I see in your profile you are going to Pirelli's, may I suggest the Avon Vyper Stryke in 110/70/16, and 140/70/16?

Hey Swampy- Are the Avon's as sticky as the Pirelli's? Are there any mods going to the up size tire? How's the performance in the corners?

BTW- I'm having issues w/ my digital camera, as soon as that is corrected, I will post some pics. Technology is troublesome at times eh?!! Makes me enjoy the simplicity of my Blasuki.

Buellbabeflarr,

I'm glad you posted the second picture, I was going to say "Wait till you change the bars!"

And as far as not worried about peoples seeing you, there are pictures of Blasters dancing nekkid around a big oak tree trying to ward off bad mojo.

P3newbie, I can't tell you anything about a Pirelli, I have never run one. I can say I am more than happy with the Big Avons. The entire discussion is in the Knowledge vault in the tire thread, with pictures with the modifications(hammer work) to get the bigger tires to fit.
The funny thing about burning up the remains is its more exciting anticipating chopping up the corners after the new tires get broken in then making the smoky burnout with the old tire....which I've done before(I guess I just have to do it again to keep in practice)

Also by the looks in the picture you need to rejet your carb. Your Blast will absolutly love you for it, they run so much better when they are running a little rich!

I just lost power here for about three hours. So I walked around Walmart to keep warm.

Walk around Wal Mart naked down here and you'll get in big trouble, boy. Probably have half the store trying to follow you home. Hmm, that gives me an idea.....

I was working out side getting a snowmobile ready to sell, carburetor primary jets plugged up again, I just cleaned the carbs in September. Then I put $5 worth of premium and the gas was old, you could smell it when it was running! So I had to drain all the gas and put some fresh regular in it! The benefits of fresh gas!

Oh Yeah, all in below freezing temps, and without long johns too boot! LOL!

You warm weather folks just don't know how good you have it, and nobody around here understands why I want to move to Alabama.....I guess its because all the snowbirds are already down south for the winter.

Grew up in Lansing. Went to school in Minneapolis. Lived in Denver for five years and then moved to North Carolina and now Virginia which is too cold for me. I remember your pain well, Swampy, and I'm glad I don't feel it anymore.

yuck I like the winter and though I can't ride year round there are other things to do. maybe it's because I spent 10 years living in the tropics but I crave seasons

It's finally warm enough to ride here in AZ, but I can't. Why?, do you ask. My 06 drive belt just went tonite. 9k miles and POP. What a drag. I guess it'll be another 19 days in purgatory before I get my bike moving again. At least it's not cold here anymore.

9K and the belt pops? It's not due to be replaced until 15K. Any idea why?

You have all your guards? A small rock would pop it - if caught between either pulley. They are not the indestructible belts that the new XB's have and the 15,000 that the talk of is the suggested replacement time, not nesc. how long they would last - lol - not enough Blasts have reached that mialage to build a good complaint base - though both mine went at a little over 13,000 - and though I don't run guards, I still don't think either was rock broken though.

Both of mine went at about 8K!

The Red one I saw a couple of teeth missing so I changed it before it broke.

So I spent all that time last night waiting for so guy to show up to buy my snowmobile and he never showed up. Today they were coming around like flies! One wanted to give me a check and I told him sorry, bt he said he would be back tomorrow! We will wait and see. The Big Kid got rear ended in his getto sled a week ago and finally got the police report, so I started a mini-tort, $500 for spending a little time on the phone and mailing some forms in!

I hate selling vehicles.
All of the freaks and twits show up and try to rip you off with bad checks or pester you and then come over and tell you how your bike/car/smobile is so badly beaten and scratched and barely able to move and they want you to give it to them for nothing.
When I had the Old Wing for sale a few years ago I had to tell one creep that my driveway was old, too, but if he got in his car and drove away, he'd find it worked just fine.

Twits! Morons!

OK. I'm going to take a couple of Valium, wipe the foam from my lips and try to relax.

Sorry about that.

I'm sorry - no you can't, but it would have been nice if Buell had upgraded our belts when they upgraded the XB's.
