Erik had vision
Different in every sense
Buell Owns the corners

Tubers paved the way
S1 was thing of beauty
XB, legacy...

Elemental Bike
essential riding fun
the Blast calls to me

No voices - now off!
road unwinding before me
grey green blue collide!

Horizon delight
the next curve beckons I flow
filling the void - ride!

A space within space
enveloped on the journey
trips end forgotten

Arriving I smile
journeys end recalled at last
still - the rides the thing!

GT - JBOTDS! EZ

Sod it, go ride bike

Oh crap I must stop
looking at this thread cos it's
doing my head in

Sitting here wasting
time when I should be doing
more important things

Mass is centralized
Twisting, turning roads straightened
Spirt centralized

Blasting S-L-O,
Just checked the weather report,
Sunny, clear... Oh, yes.

Twisty, twisty roads
to San Luis Obispo.
Nice ride this weekend.

There, many Blastards,
From both NorCal and SoCal,
Will meet, ride, and chill.

Many thanks to E-Z,
For all his organizing,
And scouting the route.

Down in S-L-O,
There are Cal Poly coeds.
Perhaps some cute ones...

Nah, riding's better.
Plus, riding makes no trouble.
But, afterwards... Hmmm...

Women on the brain.
I need some time just riding,
That will clear my head.

Riding always works.
Leaning harder, dragging pegs,
Finding a fast line.

Deep in the twisties,
Smoothly move from side to side,
The Blast is nimble...

Now, I will go home.
Planning, thinking, waiting for
Saturday morning...

One Zero Zero.
This post is my hundredth one.
Some were about bikes...

The one called Grumpy
Does not like the Haiku thread
now he must rhyme, why?

Spiderman, why not?
It is a valid art form,
I don't hate Haiku.

Limericks are fun
Haikus are just different
I can now do both.

Tranquil countryside,
Turning heads and open mouths,
As I pass, flat out.

Engine vibration...
Vee twin or marital aid?
either way, we smile

No haikus today?
Scott, you must be kidding here.
Oh, wait, here they are.

I tried to not post
Today in the haiku thread.
Could not help myself.

But, what else to do?
I can't write a limerick.
Haikus are highbrow.

Well, maybe not mine.
But it is a respected
Art form, the haiku.

I'm sure there's someone,
Somewhere out there, reading this,
Who sees my genius.

Or just potential...
If I were just more polished,
Maybe a book deal?

I wait patiently
For my book deal, with advance.
Someone, hook me up?

First dates suck, when there
Is no second, even though
She said there would be.

This weekend will be
Just what I need, I'm thinking.
Me, my bike, and friends.

Unless someone else
Posts some more haikus on here,
I'll let this thread die...

My first ride - tight grip
three years riding now - time flies
evolution smiles

anticipation
breathing deep - calm - I abide
twist of the wrist - gone

Came in somewhat hot.
Ran wide, wiped out, hit a fence.
But I am okay.

Barbed wire cuts in side.
Black eye, assorted bruising,
Sore hip and ankle.

Trashed flyscreen and mounts,
Signals, clutch cable, shifter,
Mirrors: all messed up.

Not to mention the
Scratches from the barbed wire and
Strange, too-high idle.

All in all, it's fine.
The bike runs, and I can walk.
Could have been much worse.

Still a great weekend.
Incredible road trip with
A great group of folks.
