Discussion is going on in another thread, regarding the avatars and them getting disabled several years ago. I am starting this unofficial poll to document whether or not you want them to return. I don’t know the extent of the features Blake has to work with, perhaps they can set it to let and individual decide whether or not to turn them on and off? I know I would like that for surfing on mobile devices, and others might like that just because they want to reduce clutter. Perhaps it can be privilege enabled for people that have over 4216 posts?  Maybe Santa (Blake) will be nice to us this year!  Please avoid discussion here, I just want basic “Yes”, “No”, or if you can think of some other good answer like “Yes but only if I can disable it so I don’t see them”. If theres one thing I wish could get fixed in our Profiles is. When we actually registered and the posts we lost. The posts I don't think could be retrieved but our Registration Dates??? | ||

I think if there are CLEAR rules about what can count as an acceptable avatar (perhaps...must include a Buell?), and the admins have the right to remove any that are questionable...sure. Not a big deal to me either way. More useful/helpful would be adding the following under the poster's name: Register Date / member since Hometown (City/State) Direct link to PM page | ||

Yes but only Custodians can put them up. Meaning you send a Custodian your Avatar and they add it to your screen name. That way no unwanted stuff gets posted. | ||

The best reference to avatars I know of is "Snow Crash" by Neal Stephenson. Seems superfluous to me. Graduated/mojoenabled emoticons (beyond the currently available ones) would be bonus. Or I could learn to benevolently hack my own trail thru this kudzu. Speaking of which, who can get some Kudzunol? Might get them fiddys to run lak turpentine on a catzass. | ||

It CAN be done, other's have no problems, but BadWeb admins can't handle it? I'm not saying that like a smart ass, I'm genuinely confused where all the difficulty lies.  If there's a problem, warn, warn, BAN! If anybody cries about it, well, Blake has never cared in the past.
