One of these will be my next and last motorcycle. I'm really favoring the Suzook 'cause it's old-school, simple, reliable, and easy to maintain.

The Katoom is just an awesome blend of supersingle and supermoto. Very current, high tech engine management and chassis, and the most powerful street legal single on the market. It's my step-son's favorite.

The Husky is right in between. Until this year they were flatslide carb'd, have a backbone frame, dual-sport based. That's the wife's fav.

I can understand liking the Suzook for old school simplicity, but the KTM looks soooo cool ... Is it going to be the everyday bike? Or fun bike?
I'd love any of them, I'd go for the KTM I think, or a KTM Duke

I'd never say "last" bike, but my X1 is one bike I think I'll keep for a long, long time, and it might end up being my last bike one day.

Next bike for me is a non-running Suzuki RGV250 I just got for not much $$$. Haven't quite figured out what I'm going to do with it, but stuffing a 4-stroke single into it is very appealing...

Wishlist:
XB12SS Lightning Long (Can I justify two Lightnings?)
1125s Lightning, if they ever make one (Or three??)
S1 White Lightning (or four?????)
2008 GSXR750
1985 GSXR750
MV Brutale
Moto-Guzzi LeMans MkI
And many more...

I too am looking for a street supermoto bike in a 450-560cc range. I am leaning towards a single, but the Aprilia twin I would get if I found a deal that I couldn't pass up.

Being 66 years old I think the R1200RT will be it. But if I could buy a Buell XB9R really cheap I would probably get it. Did I mention the quad? Many happy hours through the desert on that gem.

My K1200LT is very likely the last big tourer I'll ever buy (but that may change). Unlike the GoldWing, it feels like a MOTORCYCLE and not a two-wheeled car, and unlike the Harleys it doesn't drag anything in the turns. If Victory ever straightens out the shortcomings (that I see) in the Vision that MIGHT change my mind.

But I'll never say my XB12Ss is the last BUELL I'll ever buy. Who knows WHAT Erik has up his sleeve for the future?

Damn you monkey! The only thing keeping the Schwinn on the back burner was having to find a tank that was board track period correct. I see you found a website with it.... friday is payday... damnit man. Looking at buying the tank. Looks like the Schwinn will move up to before the XL883R street tracker project. (nice find thanks, not really mad at all) right click, add to favorites.

What Spidey, Psyclone, and Nate said...only mine's black (and parked outside already...next Monday she'll be two weeks old, they grow up so fast!).

...I can probably hold out for another six years before succumbing yet again.

My S1 is my last Buell...no doubt about it, unless something terrible and irreparable happens to it.

The next bike will be an everyday ride and fun bike. It's a pre-requisite that it can handle both duties equally well.

I can say last because once I make my decision I generally stick with it. I've had the first streetbike for seven years, the same mountainbike and MTB shoes for eight years (though the shoes had to be retired this year after the soles literally crumbled), even the same swim shorts for 12 years (lets me know when I'm gaining weight!...and much to my wife's disgust)...I could go on and on...

If Buell created a big-bore single streetmoto I may change my mind.

Two bikes is plenty enough for me.

Something about aircooled bikes really stirs my soul...the way they sound and smell, the simplicity of design and elegant looks. I don't care if it's underpowered so long as it has some grunt. If I sold my car I'll have enough to buy one outright.

The KTM is bad-ass. I love the concept and execution...for the most part. That engine and trellis frame are works of art. I am resistant to technology, however, and I also dislike the amount of plastic it's covered in.

My buddy had the suzuki and it was a FUN little bike. no top end, but low end was good enough (he had exhaust and jetted carbs) but none the less a fun freaking little bike. Stoppies come way too easy :-)
and handling was awesome! just think about turning and you already turned!!

Damn you monkey!

From what I have read ready to run bikes are around $3500.

A bit much for a moped, but cheap for a custom.

No dreams...just reality.

I rode a co-worker's Hawk around. Felt like a BMX bike compared to the S1. His was a 60hp ex-racebike. The front end felt light and vague...like there wasn't enough weight on it. Other than that they are lithe, slim, and a blast to ride.

LOL, I want a scooter, just for the helluvit. I'm thinking a Sachs Madass 125 or a Genuine Rattler Buck-ten.

Not that I'll get either... don't really have a use for them, and that's good money I could be using for Mustang mods.

Don't they have the 07-08 GT's in the high 12s with suspension mods and nothing else? I'm happy to see some competition out there with a reasonable price on the Camaro's and the new Challenger. I just hope high gas prices and a tough economy don't kill this generation's Pony cars.

As for bikes... If I had a Uly/Tiger (all around good bike), a Daytona 675 (a zippy sport bike), my Buell (as my commuter...), a Superduke/Speed Triple (my hooligan bike), and a custom, rigid bobber, I can die happy. The best part is that these are all obtainable bikes and don't hold value, so when I get the Buell paid off, I can work on acquiring these!

Yeah, they're pretty quick (talking Mustang's again). I'm currently working on appearance, which seems to cost almost as much as performance.

My fuel economy seems to be hovering around 25-27 mpg per tank. Pretty freakin' awesome for a 300hp car!

But enough of that! Back on topic!

Six months ago I'd have absolutely said a Road King but after seeing and sitting on an 12XT, I'm not so sure any more. I could have naughty dreams about that bike!!!

Spiderman, make mine red instead of blue.

The only issue is my 30 inch inseam verses the almost 31 inch seat height...

One leg is enough. I've a 28" inseam and do alright. I did slip on some loose rocks once and almost went down. This dude saw it and busted out laughing. Bastard!

This version is BadAss

Oh, and Eboos, you do know the 'Prillers have a reputation for randomly grenading catastrophically, right? They only use two ring pistons and are tuned for power so they burn a lot of oil, waste a lot of gas, and have around 5000mi rebuild intervals for the top end and transmission. Awesome racebike...not worth it for the street IMO. Reportedly the 450 has less problems than the 550.
