Buell salesman knew hardly anything about the new 04 9s and 12s..
He started taking notes when I was reeling off info..2 different
engines, new colors, changes etc....It was horrible, but pretty much
what I expected...put it this way, I was not surprised by it, they
never know anything...Maybe that is a big problem with Buells, the HD
sales clones just don't care !!!

That's pretty sad. Old story... there's good dealers and bad ones. If the salesman was interested in Buells in the least, he would be up on the news. Maybe you should drop a note to the manager/owner to let them know... could be "one bad apple" at the dealership.

Gonen, what dealer was it? We need to out bad dealerships. In his defense the dealer show is still going on and he probably did not get any info on paper about the '04s yet.

Sounds like he cares, otherwise he wouldn't be taking notes. The dealer needs to have his salesmen spend some time self educating by reading Buell's great website and sales literature!

...SOUNDS LIKE THE HD SALES CLONES DON'T CARE.

Don't lump us all together. I sell these bikes and now own my second. I care very much! Sorry your dealership treated you this way.

Guys, calm down.

Most of the people who have actually seen the bikes in person are still at the dealer show. If I hadn't been off work on Monday and online for 5+ hours, I'd have been clueless yesterday, too. Guess what? No one at my dealership was 100% sure what was coming out on Monday. No dealerships in my area have any '04 sales lit, it's being ordered at the show.

So give the guys a chance to get up to speed. After all, their "in the know" people are still in Vegas and these poor saps had to stay home and hold down the fort.

Has anyone heard any dates yet for when the dealerships expect to have one?

I'm sure I'll see one at the HD 100th in August. I'd like to see one earlier.. Right now would be good for me ;)

Spidey,
What are the part numbers for the XB12 oil pump assembly and pinion drive gears, and will these parts retrofit to either a 2000 M2 or a 1995 S2.
You have 30 seconds to respond.

oil pump number for 12R is 26357-02A It looks interchangable but I would need to see on in persone to be sure if it could fit in the 1203 Evo motor.
Pinion drive gear 26318-88A same as every Evo since 88 or same as in your tuber. Sorry it took long I had to shot out a rental plus I am a slow typer. ;)

Spidey, while you got your mojo going, do you have a 2004 Blast parts manual? Are the engine sprocket and clutch sprocket the same, or changed?

Thanks,
James

Thanks, I was guessing that the Buell website specs were a typo. I guess I'll have to buy you a beer when I meet you at the 20th.

Pistons,
They actually had a great season this year made it pretty far into the playoffs this year. But I am a BIG hockey fan so you would have better luck askin me bout the Red Wings.
UNLESS you mean pistons for the Blast or XB9,12 then there the same.

Just to clarify, you're saying the pistons for the XB9 and XB12 are the same? With the same heads, wouldn't that make for a pretty significant jump in compression ratio?

Yep BUt the compression is still the same, I'll double check the pistons though.
