Jim4media,

I couldn't agree more with your post. Focus on the new bike...dirt later.

the slow down in november means that we are not getting a handful of bikes in december. fine it is a slow month for us anyways. I worry about the month after that, that is not on the event horizon yet, because it is next quarter, next year. I think wait lists are in the near future. Maybe not for buell, but for harley, and definitely already feeling it on the Rocker & Fat Bob.

Here's the scoop, Harley shut down the project because they're in negotiation to sell HD to a Russian oil billionaire who likes shiny things.
He doesn't like maverick thinking so Buell has to be disengaged from the package & the 450 dirt-bike was the 1st step.

It's all true I tell you, I got it straight from the bloke in the pub, & he should know, he's got a "live to ride" belt buckle & his brothers wifes cousins sisters aunts friend cleans the toilets at the Harley dealers in Dipstick on Scum.

H-D did announce downwardly-revised revenue projections for the quarter, and for next year. On Sept. 7th. I think it was the first quarter of contraction instead of growth in quite a while. Might have shook them up ?

And the number one reason they stopped the dirt bike development? Not enough chrome !

Did he have the H-D belt buckle that folds out into a knive? I swear that is tough and bad a$$, I wouldn't mess with him, besides if you punch him that big beer belly will absorb all the shock, he wont even feel it. I wonder if BUELL will ever come out with an innovative dual purpose motorclothes item like that ? :P
