Remember the 1977 Agenda of Climate Disaster/warming/change/crisis, when it was The Onrushing Ice Age!!!!

In no particular order...

1. Lay in food supplies for the inevitable crop failures. This one vanished from subsequent Climate Con Goals, since you can count food in a warehouse and ruin the chance to steal Billion$.

2. Tax you. Not utterly poor middle class Americans and Europeans. The only people with money who can't bribe their taxers. You will pay for Everything. Every time. Forever. ( until you're murdered by the WEF population goal )

3. Give up national sovereignty, since Nations are too slow to respond to the crisis, and Action Must be taken with ruthless speed to meet the prediction of total Chaos by 1992 ( 15 years after the 1977 blizzards. And Con kickoff! ) Freedoms must be eliminated so the unelected bureaucratic Elite may take your food, property, and shelter, to properly distribute it to their chosen.

4. End fossil fuels. Cars, motorcycles, and private planes give too much freedom of movement and power of protest against the Elite. Plus that CO2 myth we started. Focus on Carbon Credits to make Al Gore Richer and an excuse to tax breathing. And Everything They Want To.

Note that other than erasing the only one that might actually save lives, the CON hasn't changed goals despite renaming the CON multiple times.

Thus theft, tyranny, power and Control are The Heart of it all.

Not too mention that we had famines before modern farming increased yields tremendously. My cousin in Indiana says that he got an award for 100 bu/acre of corn in the past and now 240 bu/acre is normal.

The WEF proudly announced their goal is a 50% population reduction.

That's murder half the people.

Yep, a comic book approach.

But there's no magic rocks, so they will use tried and tested methods.

Bullets are expensive, and you have the problem of troops refusing to murder children, especially their relatives, can't have a slave soldier revolt!

So starvation is proven. Russia vs. Ukraine, China vs. The Subjects, Pol Pot vs. Intellectuals, etc. That way you just use your army to murder anyone who tries to escape. Easier for a Political Officer to keep them in line at a check point on the road, do the shoot them in the back routine if they run or balk.

Certainly the WEF logical cheap murder system. Maximum murder, minimum cost.

True, we know how to reduce the population long term without being a psychopath, by raising people up the economic ladder so they can afford birth control. Not the cost to buy the pills or sterilization, that's free. The economic ability to afford not to have children to support you.

You can argue that is a eugenics nightmare, and you have a point, but it works, unfortunately happy, wealthy, subjects is not the WEF goal.

There's a few nifty concepts that do solar energy collection "better" than just covering farm land and yards in solar panels.

Solar uplift towers, for example. Cover 15 square miles in glazing, ( glass panels ) optional, about 50% solar panels under the glass, and covered pools of salt water under that, to store the heat, and stick a thousand foot tall chimney in the middle to give a temperature differential & tap the rising air for power. The pool storage keeps it running overnight.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_updraft_towe r

Nifty illustration in comic book form. In this case a "Super villain" using them to power a stargate.

https://www.grrlpowercomic.com/archives/comic/grrl -power-663-executive-class/

https://www.grrlpowercomic.com/archives/comic/grrl -power-678-grrl-power-sg-1/

Not to be confused with a thermal downdraft tower, where you spray water into the top, ( pumps ) and tap the cooled falling flow. No solar apron needed, so you can build one in a suburb or city. Gives you an outdoor air conditioner too as cool air flows out from it at ground level, plus you can use it for desalination of sea water if cleverly designed.

Both have been tested at smaller scales, so unlike the perpetually 20 years away Fusion, it's simple engineering and needs mostly investment money to build. Plus permits, tax breaks, a team of lawyers to fight the lawsuits to prevent building a quarter mile high chimney and a medium town sized collector apron.

Sure won't be built anywhere near the Rich People, like Al Gore or Obama, as the late, unlamented Ted Kennedy showed by forbidding wind turbines ruining the view from his beach mansion compound and lair.

And updraft towers like any system that collects weak, diffuse, energy, has to take up a lot of land and megatons of steel, glass, concrete, and the copper, cobalt, rare earths for the electric parts.

Or cover that South facing mountain with a modified Soleri Arcology design like the one proposed for Canada.

The point is that diffuse energy collection takes a huge amount of space and resources. TANSTAAFL.

Doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't build some. There are plenty of places where there's "unused" land near people and power needs, but the easy obvious ideas, like cover San Francisco with solar panels so the drug addicted mentally ill can sh%# in the shade is not viable.

But, hey, I don't live there, so go fight the millionaires. And their NIMBY.

Personally I'm most intrigued by the Spanish test tower built deliberately from the cheapest possible materials, to see what you can get away with.

And there's the recreation possibilities of giant chimneys full of rising air.

An elevator to an observation ring at the top might make money, and a catch net & proper venturi design would allow extended inside sky diving without a chute, by riding the rising air like the vertical wind tunnels currently available.

Optionally, rings of lights inside to give variable speed illusions, or even video screens for special effects, like "dive into a volcano to Pellucidar" or "trippy stargate voyage" events.

In computer guided transparent pods for the amateur tourist who's not expert at "relative work" in free fall.

And of course, base jumping on the outside for the brave tourists!

If you can get 200 mph updrafts, you could even play "giant BB gun" games, jumping into the flow from, say, a quarter of the way up, And get Shot out the top to skydive back down.

Liability insurance however...

And the cell coverage!

Physics is a Beot@$.

There's some videos going around of Tesla trucks stuck in the snow. Every one I've seen appears to be wearing performance tires.

So... Duh.

Up front, I'm a tire crank. Or whatever adjectives apply to a person who takes tires seriously and chooses them for purpose.

I'm running Dunlop Q2 on my Cyclone. No idea how well they wear, I like the grip.

My buddy just put Yokahama studded snows in his CRV, they're quiet, & grippy. Recommended.

I'm running Sumitomo studded snows on my Rav4, and they're noisy, decent, but a bit squirmy dry or snow. Vague, but controllable. The stock Michelins in summer. Mileage tires, but ok in the wet. Not awesome.

The rusty Caravan has Mastercraft ( Cooper ) studded snows. Noisy, decent grip, typically vague, and honestly, what the local shop had that didn't suck. Aftermarket Michelins from Mavis Discount in summer, uncharacteristically noisy! Otherwise unremarkable.

I'd prefer Nokian Hakkapelliita studded, but they were sold out. Next time I'll order ahead of time. My bad.

Why run studded snows?

If they don't have the three peaks logo, a M&S tire is just an all season tire that might drive ok over my lawn, if it's dry.

For decades when the Sheriff announced non essential personnel should stay off the roads, he wasn't talking to me. I'm going to be out there all day. After I slide into work.

Studs are only good on ice. They reduce dry traction a measurable amount and are noisy, chew up driveways, and cost more.

But ice is my biggest problem, not snow.

Right down my road is a "dead man's curve" where it dips in a S curve down over a creek, and local fog freezes on the shaded curves. There's an ever renewed cluster of crosses and flowers there to memorialize the dead ( usually college students ) that die there every few years.

I've driven and ridden that section thousands of times over decades, ( former route to work, too ) and love pushing my motorcycle through there when it's dry, but I'm always aware of the hazards.

And, Once Upon A Time in Tennessee, coming home from Gulf Wars SCA event in Mississippi, in a "storm of the century", I was stopped by Tenn State Police in my Caravan at the wrong side of a roadblock at the bottom of a mountain pass, because the road was closed. I explained it wasn't from the other side when I started up, and agreed it should be closed, today. While Trooper #1 was warming up to his rant on how stupid and foolish I was, Trooper #2 was circling my minivan, looking at the tires and crammed camping gear. He interrupts his partner and points at my New York plate and studded snows, who blinks, switches gears, and politely asks me to be careful, & have a nice day.

Today, a quarter ton dinosaur, bipedal, fast, omnivorous, would be an Apex Predator, and I want a minimum of a .357 Magnum carbine, and prefer a .50 Beowulf, in hand on it's territory.

Calling it a Hell Chicken understates the hazard if you have a city slicker knowledge of fowl.

But any critter classed as "Grizzly sized" should raise concern levels.

And smaller species that are only white tail deer sized, and may hunt in packs? No thank you.

Otoh, BBQ!
