Probably.

https://www.sciencealert.com/almost-100-million-am ericans-eligible-for-new-weight-loss-drug

It's a really effective drug, I'm told, & that reminds me, time to take mine.

But when drugs go Fad? That triggers my paranoia.
Not conspiracy theories, but long term side effects and "addictive issues".

Plus the already big problem of fad diet people buying the stuff and making it harder to get and more expensive for Diabetics it was designed for. That's not speculation, that's experience.

The semiglutide drugs work for diabetics, but the SIDE EFFECT is loss of appetite, and that's the New Use. I don't know how it's primary effects will mess with people, long term.

And it's a take every week forever drug. How many people will take an appetite suppressant for a short time? Some athletes, yes, but the main customer? And there's not been a long term study on non-diabetics taking it for years, then stopping. ( It's not such a concern with diabetics, where it's more "take this to reduce your chances of dying" instead of "take this and lose weight like your neighbors".

Seriously, I Hope it works out just fine. And for some it's nearly a miracle drug. Dieting is Hard and hopefully it will prevent a lot of fat related death. ( a large category! )

But I find it scary to think of millions on a long term drug to lose weight. Otoh, the cynic in me considers it a huge experiment in Darwinism.

The water they are discharging is less radioactive than the sea water they are dumping it into. If anything, it is making the ocean less radioactive, albeit imperceptibly so.

https://pjmedia.com/columns/stephen-kruiser/2023/0 8/28/the-morning-briefing-climate-cult-tyrants-are -still-worse-than-covid-tyrants-n1722563

It's speculation that the human use of fossil fuels caused an increase in greenhouse effect that might have slowed the cooling trend that will absolutely plunge the planet into civilization wrecking cold & glaciation.

Global warming cultists don't see their prophesies that way, but their prophets and priests have a history of being scientifically wrong, hysterically dramatic, and fundamentally dishonest. You know, lefties.

It's total certainty that the people pushing Global Warming Climate change crisis emergency Ragnarok? have an agenda of getting more power for their self appointed Elite at the expense of individual rights and stealing (bribing politicians to get your money into their offshore bank accounts ) As much of the planet's wealth as possible.

And many, if not All, if of their schemes to sell mass quantities of highly polluting, intermittent, land inefficient, unreliable, temporary, unrepairable, power collection equipment, actually burn more energy to make than they produce over their short and expensive lifetime.

( even 19th century coal and gravity power plants have incredibly longer lifetimes than the late 20th & 21st century wind & solar farms. )

https://www.teslasociety.com/exhibition.htm

https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/when-nia gara-crushed-power-plant-180963549/

https://davidjkent-writer.com/2017/05/08/nikola-te sla-and-the-development-of-hydroelectric-power-at- niagara-falls/

I'm not sure when exactly the original Westinghouse/Tesla polyphase generators ( alternators) were retired for newer models, but I'm pretty sure that was not much more than a century. Ditto, steam piston engines were replaced by high speed turbines over the century plus since commercial electric service began. But often in the same buildings that housed the old gear.

Sure, discrete power units like the multitude of dead wind generators in California are "upgradable" by either replacing the non working parts on top of the towers or tearing it All Down to put up bigger/newer units, but because taxpayer subsidies to go new construction, not generally upgrades, it's not economical to repair/upgrade so often they get abandoned in place and bankruptcy ( aka...And ) take the money & run schemes are common.

It would be an interesting study to count the age of wind and solar farms, and calculate the net gain or loss in terms of money and energy produced/consumed. But that's a Very Taboo Blasphemous subject as likely, near certainly, to destroy your academic career as an analysis of the 2020 election.

But bottom line is motive and action.

If questioning them is Blasphemy, then it's a good bet their entire scheme is dishonest.

The motive has been obvious since the 1970s, steal power and rights from citizens and give it to the New Aristocracy. The Exact Same plan as Marxism. ( they may change the name of the scheme, but the evil intent remains )

And since the Dogma of the cult is supported by the New Aristocracy, who are by ideology fundamentally dishonest, the credibility of the Climate Con is negative. Utterly unbelievable.

You may notice that their demands to regulate you into slavery are non negotiable and imposed against your will. Always burying their tithes under taxes and fees.

See also how to boil a frog.

When a prophet tells you to live a simpler life and clean up your environment for the good of all, and they lead by example, it's a lot easier to buy their message than one who doesn't follow their own advice.

When the Prophets declare you the enemy?

Well, it's definitely been on my bucket list to be declared an Arch Heretic, after watching the original Lexx miniseries.

https://www.popsci.com/science/human-population-pl eistocene/

Much later, about 70,000 years ago, a Supervolcano is thought to have killed most humans leaving a population of less than a hundred and everyone today has only one great, great.....grandma.

Since actual Science continues to change and change our understanding of the world, I expect more research to give different answers to these events.

I do question the continued assertions that Neanderthals were a separate species since they interbred with Homo Sap. ( like a poodle and a golden retriever)

But, Science Is Never Settled.

Poodles and retrievers are the same species. Humans and neanderthals are not. All that genetic diversity is part of the dog genome. We, as you pointed out, are all massively the same. Multiple genetic bottlenecks. We can interbreed with some other species (not currently) just as dogs and wolves can. And horses and donkeys. Depends on how closely related as a species they are. All humans except those blacks whose ancestors never left Africa have neanderthal DNA.

Texas might want to follow South Dakota in refusing the "green" garbage being dumped on them by the Billionaire Left.

One might fantasize about a "fund it" program to drop a dead blade in front of Every Congresscritter's home. Blocking their driveway. That parks a thousand plus blades to be moved at their expense. ( they'd demand You pay for it )

Maybe move them to the border to act as a Bailey? Probably violate international law on toxic pollution. ( epoxy is pretty stable, but shards of fiberglass are nigh eternal. )

I freely admit to confusion on the 19th century "put stuff in boxes" science on species.

It's not based on genetics, but gross appearance in large part. ( number of lobes in a leaf, serrated or smooth edges, etc. )

But if you can interbreed, isn't that a factor?

And Homo Sapiens isn't all the same, pygmy, zulu, eskimo, whatever that Congresscritter with no waist is, there's a lot of variety and we all make babies with each other.

We probably couldn't breed with Australopithicus, or Piltdown Man but there's no way to prove that since our ancestors killed all the other hominids, or they perished in the many natural disasters that chopped out gene pool to a small pond on at least two occasions.

Was Neanderthal all that different from his neighbors in Africa across the salt flats or waters of the Mediterranean? Or an Aussie Bushman?

Iirc, the oldest surviving group/tribes of Man are the Australians and then? Central Africans? Indians? We assume the Aussie Bushman tribes migrated to the island long ago.

I "believe" in evolution as a concept, like I believe in gravity as a Force, an incomplete and not well understood phenomenon that doesn't have a satisfactory explanation on exactly HOW it works, but there's a real thing happening that in the case of gravity, will kill you if you're ignorant of it.

Some modern genetic research sounds a lot like Lysenkoism. Genes changing in response to stimulus passed down to new generations.

The Science is not settled.

Everyone currently living is homo sapien sapiens. There is only one living human species. Animals with compatible chromosomes can interbreed. There are currently no other animals with human compatible chromosomes. Dogs are all one species. We created the differentiation by selective breeding. All that variety is in their genome. The tiniest, blackest, african pigmy on the planet has more in common with me, genetically, than a dog and her pup. That is not boxes, that is generics.

yes, you know that now, with a different layer of philosophy of science.

But go back to when they started listing races of man and types of plants, and they lacked genetic knowledge, which we have to a very limited degree, more than then, but nowhere near understanding the interrelations between bits of code.

I'm not saying they were dumb. Or that knowing there IS a code on the molecular level that runs life in multiple ways, isn't a significant jump.

my Skepticism is the use of "species" to differentiate interbreeding populations of human somethings which may not "deserve" that differentiation. I have blondes in my family, so I assume plenty of Neanderthal genes are probable.

I'm likely to have far more in common with a Neanderthal family in Europe than an Aussie Bushman, so why are my relatives not "human"?

Feel free to make the obvious joke.
