Powerlineblog is daily posting the trial news, ( during the week, after each day in court ) of the Riot Excuse, Chauvin, Kangaroo Court. It's in the early phase of jury rejection and motions to exclude evidence and change the venue to somewhere a fair trial might be possible. While I have no informed opinion on the case itself, not having seen any evidence, the trial is obviously predetermined by the State awarding tax dollars to the family of the dead guy. And the riots have already been announced, planning in progress, and if I was FBI, and interested in actually solving crime ( unfortunately not like!y ) I'd be scrutinizing charter bus companies to gather evidence to determine the paymaster for destruction. Since the reporting I've seen is highly biased, it's best taken cynically and with doubt. From mainstream propaganda outlets and editorials from either "side", it appears the Judge is delaying the riots for better weather. That there are sides is a triumph of agitprop dishonesty. As I see it, it breaks down to a tiny minority that doesn't care about guilt or innocence and just wants power, and the vast majority that wants actual justice and protection against bad policing and criminals. The first category is apparently The Ruling class and their minions, and useful idiots. There are exceptions, and some signs the Mayor is terrified the reins of power are in the hands of He Who Must Not Be Named, and thus the Mayor may be sacrificed on the altar of Baal. Or Facebook, I can't tell. | ||

You do wonder what would happen to a guy in that situation if a bold Antifie ran at him with a bat and got shot after several warnings? I suspect the guy would be in deep doodoo, especially if the first casualty was not Whitey. You do have to make some personal safety decisions about exercising your 1st Amendment rights, but so did the Freedom Riders. I'm sure some decisions will have to be made at some point about overt or covert non-compliance with the Dem infringement of 2nd Amendment rights. | ||
