BTW, I'm fine with Idris Elba playing Trump or Thomas Edison. The Japanese didn't care if Scarlett Johansson played a not specified by race cyborg. Despite Karens boo hooing. Sure, if the race is important to the plot it can be jarring. Tom Holland as Kunte Kinte in a remake of Roots? Danny Glover as David Duke? Danny Glover playing President Maduro, OTOH, is fine. Ethnicity is irrelevant. Heck, he could play Jefferson Davis, but that's as a parody. Or go really Meta, play it absolutely straight and never mention his race.
