It is easy to reconcile an infinite set of points along the circle and the singular equation of a circle, as being simultaneously and equally truthful. You don't have to use much logic there.

It is apparently harder to reconcile even a finite set of denominations as being equally truthful with respect to any specific version of the Bible, and I don't think logic can necessarily reconcile these into a neat singularity.

I don't discourage people from pursing liberty of conscience in different personal directions. Some argue I have gone off in the strangest direction in my own search. I think though that we must allow a certain tolerance for the different directions that others are pulled in their own search.

This one is for Aesquire: My fave intellectual chair.

Designed by Frank Gehry, the same designer for the Disney Auditorium in LA and the Guggenheim in Bilbao Spain. It is many sheets of currogated cardboard glued together in a press then run through a band saw. The architectural critics said "it leaves bits of cardboard on your clothes whe n you get up." to which Frank replied "So take your clothes off."

This chair is strongly recommended to not be used as an umbrella.

Blake, yeah congruent observations can be drawn, of course.
Hogwash that reminds of applications where items (like furniture) are made from canvas-reinforced concrete.

I would also not recommend using this for an umbrella, unless you're a body builder looking for a workout.

I am loving the chair ideology warfare. I certainly agree that 90% of all chairs on the internet are ill suited to double as umbrellas.

I am fascinated by the emergency shelters temporarily supported by air pressure while you water your shelter and then let it harden. WANT but where would I put it?

Awhile back I discovered the concrete canvas technology; somewhere I dug up the cost of one of those inflatable concrete domes and it was ridiculous.
Plus it has to get delivered in a SEALAND container; you can't build one from products you can buy at Home Depot.
Here.

Chair, umbrella, racecar, artwork.

Again I find myself posting things not directly relevant to the original post; one of these days I may be banned from badweb.

I recall when rebar & chicken wire free form concrete dome structure was very briefly popular with the Mother Earth News crowd.

Berkley had the engineering students build a laundry room on campus with this technique. Some years later they decided the building was ugly & out of place so ordered it demolished.

The bulldozer bounced off. So did the wrecking ball. They had to use jack hammers and serious labor to make it go away.

I'm sure I can pull a parallel out of the story...... Scientology?

If only the greenies back then had known how CO2 intensive the production of concrete is, they might have made the thing out of a nice sustainable CO2 storing material...like wood.

IM not so HO getting all torqued off about other people's lifestyles or what they like to do with each other's naughty bits, is not a good idea.

Not everyone is reading from the same playbook. Not everyone wants to be under the same set of religious laws written by bitter old men centuries ago, who probably couldn't get laid in a whorehouse, telling us how to have sex.

To be fair this is my basic take on the sex parts of the Koran. As to the Bible, it's got wonderful, aspirational, advice of how to treat other humans. Other parts? See old farts that can't get laid, above.

Plus, I'm an admitted, nay, proud Women's Libber. ( Olde School ) And I note that the more free from uptight medieval shame morality, the better it is for men and women.

That's one reason I'm APPALLED at modern feminists for covering up for Islamic misogyny. I'm going to be opposing Sharia and legalized rape no matter what the political wing of the fake feminists do. Morons.

And If I won't allow a mullah to tell you how to raise your daughters, I'm not going to feel obliged to follow your book's rules.

Which for me means teach them to be deadly, and otherwise follow the Persian advice on how to raise a son. "Teach them Horsemanship, and Archery, and teach them to despise all lies."

In the 21st century I interpret that at face value. Sure, archery plus firearms, and driving instead of horses. The despise part needs no updating.

Deadly? Hey, I'm a Libber, but I'm also aware of physical reality. Size, muscle density & distribution, there's a REASON that the Olympics doesn't have women & men compete in strength events.

You can compensate of that in 2 ways. Technology and skill.

"God made man, but Sam Colt made man Equal" has a LOT of truth in it.

I try to teach a pragmatic art that is well aware of traditional and modern medicine, leverage, damage points, Chi flow. My Tai Chi Sifu ( & 3rd degree blackbelt in Jiu Jitsu ) was a small fellow and could flat out demolish a big guy. So I like the girls to be able to do the same, responsibly. And it's always fun to watch other people when the little miss steps up and hammers a heavy bag with speed & intent.

Oh and be careful when they discover Cynthia Rothrock movies. ( and the EWWWW!!! when I told them she's my age )

You, OTOH, might totally disagree with me, and that's fine.

It's fine, it's only natural to be robosexual. Yes that's now a word.

Not the first time a gal has wanted to marry a toy.

Says a lot about her male suitors. Nothing good.

Experience tells me for every man hating lesbian or robosexual there's an abusive male monster who should have been removed from society by extreme prejudice long ago. Only my medium low level of civilization keeps me from tracking those creatures down years later to do so. Pity.

I find it best to be kind to and at least try to seem empathetic to crazy ladies.

The kindness part should go without saying. The empathetic part is simple survival tactics. If you can figure out why they're going off you may be able to duck. Even help solve the problem. ( good luck )

You want to respond differently to different crazy. All cats are not alike in the dark.

I know that sounds cynical. Not at all. They have to deal with our crazy too.

The gal that built her own lover is just "Weird Science" for real. We live in interesting times.

While we're on the subject of sex bots......

The current generation is manual and cartoonish.

Conversation software is good enough, Japanese mirroring systems are getting better every day and you can order a walking chassis from Boston Dynamics.

I have no urge to buy one but I can tell that I will be bitching about the kids and how we never had sex bots in sensuality training in High school. .......: )
