Anyone got experience with them? They seem like a nice option for a light bike only trailer. Local place has a used one that's never been used. Seriously, the powder coat where the ramp slides in isn't even scratched. $1,800. Seems like a good buy. Probably going to pick it up in the morning unless I hear some kind of horror stories.
Supposed to fit a pair of sport bikes or 3 dirt bikes. 1,500 pound capacity. |

I recently bought a wood decked 4'X10' utility trailer, fully wired, 5000lb capacity with a drop gate(that I removed) only needed a plate. slap a couple of wheel chocks on it and it could haul a bunch of bikes. I paid a grand. It doesn't look as nice but is a much cheaper and more utilitarian option IMO…I use it to haul wood, bikes, go-carts, lawnmowers, bricks, and it's currently outfitted to haul a canoe and kayaks... |

The thing Kendon's have going for them is, they fold up and store vertical if you're tight on space. If you have room for a trailer, get a utility - they're more...utilitarian. But if you want a decent bike-only trailer...they're good quality units. |

The only motorcycle trailer I have heard bad things about was the one that would rotate the axle thru 180 degrees and lower the bed to the ground thus you needed no ramp to load. The beef was they were really hard on tires. As far as any normal trailer if it looks like it is well built it probably is. |

My issue for a trailer is storage space while it's not is use. I have all my space consumed with cars and bikes. So the option of standing it up in a corner with minimal intrusion into premium space was critical. I went with a Drop-Tail model and while it has seen limited use, it meets my needs, is well made and a quality product. Kendon was also on my list, but the Drop-Tail "dropped" into my lap at a good price. A utility trailer is fine if that what you need, but the storage and being a quality build drove my selection. Not cheap, but I got what I wanted. I'd have no issues with a Kendon. |

Being on a suburban lot, space is a consideration. Other utility isn't much of a consideration for me. I do like that the Kendon uses actual auto tires instead of the miniature tires used on many small utility trailers that are only rated for 45 mph. It is a very single purpose trailer though. Should be pretty easy loading of bikes to given the trailer bed is below the axle. Hard to see, but it's got a spare tire mounted below the deck on the right side too. |

I owned a Kendon trailer very similar to that one. It's nice to be able to fold it and stand it up. A triple rail for $1800 is a good deal if you ask me, since I paid $2000 for a single rail with a nose guard and spare tire. |

While we are here . . any recommendations for an enclosed 1-car trailer? I seem to have accidentally come by a vintage British beast. I'm doing a poor job of getting rid of crap. |

Sifo, You'll want to relocate the spare tire. Mine got torn off when I hit a bump on the freeway, thank god it bounced OVER the cars behind me, and rolled down the embankment. |

Got a Kendon two rail stand-up trailer circa 1995 - - purchased from JPhish a few years back. . . I strongly recommend them, well built, and stand-up storage option really saves space if you prefer to keep them inside. Oh, and they can be "utilitarian" if you want - - I made a modular box storage system with RTT (roof top tent)for camping, then pops off easy enough for track days with the CR.
I'd say $1,800.00 is a great deal. |

what ever trailer you end up with make sure these are installed , makes life so much easier , you can visibly look at the hubs and see if they have grease ! no more scratching your head trying to remember when you serviced the wheel bearings last. the only way to go ! http://www.bearingbuddy.com/ |

I owned a Kendon single rail a while back and would still have it but was offered a trade for a 10' x 20' building. It had high build quality and was easy to load.I would have another if I had the chance. |

Thanks for the input. Picked it up this AM. Price was right. Not impresses with how the tire or the ramp get stowed. Both can be tossed in the vehicle easily. I'm not sure about their single safety cable either. I might upgrade that to normal safety chains. Bearing buddies are a no brainer to me on just about any trailer. Matt, I bet that spare coming of caused a foul smell in the car behind you! |

I'm telling you, it was the maiden voyage of that trailer. I went directly to Kendon in Anaheim, California and bought the trailer. I pulled it from there directly to the Harley dealer in Covina, loaded up my Buell and drove down the 605 freeway. I made the transition onto the 405 Northbound. I saw something flick upward in my rear view mirror, looked back and saw the tire bouncing high in the air over 2 cars, touched down in the slow lane, then bouncing off to the side embankment. I pulled over and inspected the trailer, found the welded mount had been completely ripped off the frame. It's too low to the ground. Period. So when I got another one, I bolted it to the outside of the front nose cone. No problem after that. As for the ramp, I got some good skateboard grip tape and put it down the middle. Trust me on that one especially if there is even a hint of moisture around. |

Looks like it already has a Bearing Buddy type of cap. It's got a different type of rubber cover that snaps inside the cup, so I didn't recognize it at first. I think some skateboard tape might be a good investment. |
