I chalk the contention up to the sense of "malaise" that a lot of people are feeling. Between failed businesses, lost jobs, older (and unfortunately, some younger) members passing away, lack of financial well-being that keeps us from diving deeper into our pastime, etc., we just get a little gritchy about the world, the economy, the government, freedom, and the lack of new Buells to lust after. We're not quite to the point of "eating Timothy", but I sincerely hope that optimism starts to grow on all fronts. This will lead to more riding, more comfortable situations, and maybe even a new bike or two to talk about. Let's hope that that's soon!

Hey Dave, you could add on to Double Lung selling Buell parts, you could call it Buell and Arrows

I miss the time when it seemed everyone had a Buell.
The 3%ers one Summer had over 30 members.
Good times.
I think Charlie, Dan, Fran, and myself are the only 3%ers left with a Buell now days.
We all still hang out and that's the cool part, we're all still good friends.

NEBO is pretty much the same, everyone has jumped ship to different brands and different categories like dirt bikes. Ain't the same in there anymore without the constant ball busting and dick jokes.

what we need now is for Erik to start making more affordable motorcycles and have Dave Stueve selling them! That would be a Win - Win for everyone!

I remember Dave had a waiting list for Uly's when they first came out and he had a fly and ride program with trips to the factory and also had a weekend ride up in the U.P.

Amen! He was my savior more than once. When the low black and orange seats finally hit the market and he posted it, I posted that I wanted one....his response...yours went out yesterday!

Keeping boxes open until the last part came in because he knew we'd end up with a t-shirt, hoodie or hat to throw in with the parts we had ordered.

I miss the old days!

Erik Buell could do much in returning civility (such as it was) to this board. I know I'm getting spring riding fever and itch for something new.

It does seem like we're about due for some kind of news from EBR. We had all the excitement about the Hero sponsorship/collaboration back in February, then EBR posting that they were looking for engineers/designers, and then the first race for the two teams at Daytona. It's been awfully quiet since then.

Maybe Geoff and Danny can stir up something good for us to talk about in the next few days.

Not if they ride in a conservative manner!
