not all jimi, the Blast still has the POS K330 instead of the Pirellis which are a better tire (and usually the tire of choice for replacement)

Just as an aside, as a typical Joe Consumer, I see Buell's move from
Dunlops to Pirellis as a show of continue strength in their ability and
allowance to do things their way.

"Anony and M1 and others sure seemed to be enjoying jumping on poor ol' Jima4 for simply stating his case. "

No...

I don't know about Anony but I was jumping on Jim's case for being wrong. Not for stating his case. He can state his case all day long and I'll respect him for it. All of it. If any of it is factually wrong I'll point it out and defend my statement. He indeed DID need to sit back and drink a beer, reread the thread and figure out what was and wasn't said and by whom. When he jumped into this thread he had a number of things mixed up. Happens to the best of us.

Is JimA4Media a Buell enthusiast? Maybe... But he sees things from a different perspective than I do that's for sure. Is it a glass is half full or half empty thing? Maybe... I'm with Blake... I think the glass was engineered to be twice as big as it needs to be. Maybe you've heard of a guy by the name of Henrik? He's an old school and very level headed guy in the Buell community as far as I'm concerned and he mentioned on another board that Jim got his pasting deservedly... I agree.

Like I said... If we were strictly dealing with opinion, Jim can have any he'd like. We weren't. We were dealing with factual data and Jim was incorrect. No problem per se, but when it's about a subject I'm passionate about I'll say something : ). I've been called out on incorrect facts here before. Whether or not I was proven incorrect or not is up to you to find out but I certainly remember that there were a number of people involved from other Buell "enthusiast" sites that all ended up going back... I think it was more of a stale mate before but it seems that the future has proven me right on most counts.

Anyway... Yeah, I'll defend Buell and their racing effort on all fronts as long as both sides bring facts. If it's emotion I'll point that out too.

Small correction:

While I did see that post, I didn't write it. I believe Reg Kitrelle did. The kind words though, (thanks for those : )) apply to Reg just fine as far as I'm concerned.

I was compelled to rate you a single star for that. joker

FYI: Since I kinda mentioned it, let it be known that at no time did Don (M1combat) ever voice the slightest hint of complaint about being the ongoing target of BadWeB's one star bandit. Thankfully our one star bandit has mended his star slinging ways. It's all good. : )

"Glass twice as large", I like that. : )

I guess I'd rather get one star thrown at me than five... One being easier to dodge and all that ;).

Don,

What things did I have mixed up, wrong or incorrect?

You can argue all you want about the the Buell glass being half full or half empty. Honda and Yamaha have a full glass.

And for the record, the Honda CBR600RR that Zemke rode at Daytona, and Ulrich rode at Miller havesn't been used in a FX race since then.

All of the other wins have been by Yamaha R6s, or the Josh Hayes Honda 600.

"Honda and Yamaha have a full glass."

It's a right pretty exorbitantly expensive unobtanium kinda glass too. Good for them I say. They've been at the racing game a long time now. They can afford an expensive glass.

I like saké, but a half glass of good ole bourbon sports more thump. : )

Jim, hope you manage to get yourself to the races this year. Have a beer for me as you gaze across that wonderful vista with the track below. I'm gonna miss it terribly.

How many folks this year do you imagine are saying "What!? No cart race!?"

M1 sez:

"I think it was more of a stale mate before but it seems that the future has proven me right on most counts."

and then manages to utter with a mouth full of crow and egg on his face:

"Damn... Confused again . Thanks for the correction Henrik."

It takes a man with kahunas twice as large to be that humble. We all can be wrong...don't sweat it. Jima4 seems to be cut from the skeptic cloth and M1 is more of a cheerleader. Me, I am sorta in between. It takes all kinds to make a world, and a web site.

My schedule for AMA racing this year included Barber (rode S2 to by myself), and I have plans for Road Atlanta, VIR, and Mid-Ohio twice. I plan to ride to RA and VIR with others and trailer to M-O, with the wife. Sure would like to see some XBRR action at these tracks...I guess that depends on how the Buells finish at Laguna, huh?

Also, I am riding to Barber with another S2 guy, and maybe a Super Hawk, for CCS/ASRA racing August 11-13, via North GA backroads. It was one hot mother last year at Barber...whew! I hope it is cooler this year. We will be staying at 29 Dreams, which has real trees to camp under, as opposed to that open field at Barber. Look me up if you are going too, or want to ride down or back with us. We take all back roads only.

Jimi,

Please be careful what you say. I'm a very visual kinda person. Picturing you and Don as a cheerleaders has scarred my psyche deeply. LOL

"It takes a man with (cojones) twice as large to be that humble."

WORD!

Beware the folks who never apologize. They are either always right, or think that they are always right. LOL

And you know, those folks who think they know everything really piss off those of us who really do. joker LOL
