The oil is stored on both sides of the bike to make it more balanced.
I wondered how our bikes were so well balanced, I know that 2 1/2 quarts really worried Erik about how to handle all that weight

Maybe he's just a little confused...160 kilometer/hour = 99.4193908 mile/hour (mph)....although he'd still be off a bit the the other direction.

I wrote and let him know the information was inaccurate.

Caveat emptor

What the heck is an "Emptor" anyway?

By the way....don't think that the weight and location of that oil didn't get a lot of thought in the design process. It wasn't put there to "balance" the bike, but I bet I know a fellow from Mexico who could tell you EXACTLY how it impacts every aspect of performance and handling.

Hey, he's got a phone number listed in the auction, we could all call him and see how long it takes for him to take the phone off the hook.

Latin Lesson:
Caveat means " Let him be aware"
Emptor mean " buyer"

I wonder if I stick 200 mph on my speedo readout if my bike would do that?
I THINK I CAN, I THINK I CAN, I THINK I CAN!

Court, I'm sure it did, but what I was reefering to was how it's held in the swing arm close to the fulcrum. Geek humor I guess.

Hi, I'm Joe Isuzu. An XB will do 160 miles per hour (downhill in a hurricane) and it even comes with a built in ice cream machine for the kids (not really)
