dude stock gearing? who said anything about stock gearing...wen u do the chain conversion and put actualy sprockets its not limited to anything but to the amount of teeth you use...your name NEW12r obviously shows your knowledge...haha i cant argue its just sad...common sense you change the gearing the bike will top out higher it doesnt matter what its limited...its not like the bike will go to goes to 140 and is like o...i have 3 thou more rpms but im already doing 140 so i have to stop...dont talk cause you dont knoww...by the sad wrong information your trying to provide...and being 20 means nothing...u might have 10 years on me or whatever but its not the age...its the rider...so dont tell me who i am..and i damn sure know more bout the bike than u with what you just stated | ||

...analog versus digital speedometer readout has no bearing on how accurate it is - that's based on the input sensor and the interpretation of the ECM/cluster. In Buell's case, the speedometer is based on the rotation of the 5th gear. Having a different tire profile can throw the speedo off by quite a bit. I'd love to believe ya, kid, I really would...but I don't. Not even close, and until you pony up some hard data no one here will, particularly those even somewhat familiar with the efforts of the Firemanjim and those guys out on the salt flats. And dont tell me what I know about Buells, I have split the cases and replaced transmissions on the XB line. I am also a professional auto mech. for more than 13 years with more knowledge of speed than you can gather. I also have track experience, should be racing WERA in the Endurance series next season and know what it takes to go fast. You are a 20 year old with a boner, I know I used to be one. Dont make a personal attack at me, I was not attaking you. It's a bit long to wait but there's an Inside Pass event in New Jersey in October. Lots of time to repair/prepare. If it's a blow-off, loser pays both registrations. If it's all legit, and close enough, the peanut gallery here pays both registrations. That way there's enough witnesses, clocks, safety, medical and the law is not provoked. | ||

yea i said street bike since i was ten...the first dirtbike i had i was one...it may have had training wheels but i rode the damn thing!!!and noones doubting you either...we all have an attitude with wanting to be right..im not saying you are completely wrong...but im also sure that a police radar isnt wrong...wen i first had the bike i got bothered by the cops...i have the rabbit..couldnt help but go...the town that i was involved with my brothers best friend is actually the one who was on me! he clocked me at 153 before he lost sight of me....and i was a straight 4 mile road...held it wide open..the bike lagged at top end but i still was told i got clocked at 153...so theres some proof...i dont have the picture of it because i wasnt going to stop and ask but he told my bro that very night...so theres some proof it will do over 140 no problem | ||

LOL, this thread is going south real quick, I'm in the Hudson Valley (Orange County) not completely upstate but some damn nice roads around here. If ya get the chance for a scoot around here let me know as I'm always up for a ride. Who is Hammer... Hes just some dude that got run over on his Buell last year and is on a temp Jap bike untill the 1125 has its issues figured out. They wont run themselves because I can get us off should the local Law enforcement arrive. And I just dont give a rats a$$ | ||

What happens to Hammer if he puts the 1125 engine in the XB? Then he'll have spent way too much money! Brian (Ridrnkink18) take it easy dude. It's ok to be excited about your bike. Just try and keep it honest. This is a difficult crowd to get one over on, they are used to trolls and bullshitters. I'm sure you're a good guy. Rather than trying to internet joust, why not just meet up with some riders near you and learn just how good these guys are. We don't need to prove how big ours is, and neither do you. I've met most everyone in this thread and they are good guys, and even better riders, they'll help you out when you need a hand, and they're great to party with as well. I'd hate to see you burn a bridge before you even get to it. You have to understand though, more than half of what you claim is a bit difficult to believe. |
