I hope not. It's got the old-school chopper seat look to it.

Is it just me or does that fender or license plate holder look like a bird perched on the rear tire?

I've seen a couple of those, mostly in Europe. Talk about minimalistic! Man, don't fall off the seat!

I dig it. Maybe a bit too extreme for my taste, but I like getting rid of the back end like that. Reminds me of a Confederate Hellcat.

I like the concept and think it would even better if just the seat looked like and extended fender.

Kinda like this:

From a functional standpoint, he lightened the bike significantly. I wonder where he put the battery, ECM, and stuff that normally mounts in the tail section?

I was wondering where he relocated everything too! Wouldn't want to get caught in the rain with this one.

WOW that's.... unusual. I REALLY wonder where all the electronics went! Heck, where's the BATTERY?! Kudos on the technical aspects anyway. I dig the digital speedo bar clamp... wonder where ya get one of those?

Great point about the battery and electrical components. I wonder if he hid them in the airbox and/or under that cover around the shock?

Dana,
Do you have a photo of the headlight treatment?

Interesting looking bike, that's for sure.

I really like it. I would probably opt for a slightly bigger saddle, but I think the execution is excellent!

Get it ripped down to the point it really is just two wheels and an engine.

if the saddle were a bit larger, like big enough for my ass to fit on it would be nice!!! then a small rear fender thingy....it would look wicked. always liked the confederate look.

Another unique effort by PM Performance! Check out their XB Shorty too:

Cool - thought about doing a Beemer oilhead this way, including authentic Pagusa/Denfeld seat.

The handlebar clamp with inset Motoscope instrumentation is clean!

By the way... I've seen license plate brackets like that before. Are they all custom jobs or do some aftermarket places sell them? I think they look cool with the chopped Lightning tail.

I like the looks of the bikes with the chopped seats. I wonder how they'd look with clip ons.
That would be really bad ass.
