OK, here you go:
Parts list:
1125R fairing bracket
1125R fairing
1125R headlights
1125R mirrors (used)
Misc hardware (nuts, bolts)

I bought all the new parts from Erik Buell Racing, and the used parts from a fellow Badwebber.

Here are some close ups:

From the riders seat, the high bars clear the fairing by about a half inch, when moved from lock to lock. Nice!

Here is the fairing mount. the extra hole is for the half inch I will be raising the bars in the future, with the use of a riser block I will fabricate myself.

This is the view of the clearance when the bars are at full left lock:

And this is the view of the clearance when the bars are at full right lock:

It's a very easy mod to make, if you are not anal, and want a true 1125R.
I just wanted the 1125R fairing, not the low bars, or the "race" look. I just want to be comfortable.
This current setup works very well for me, and I am very pleased with the results.
I will raise the bars yet another half inch and see how that feels, maybe even bring them back closer to me an inch.
I am trying to create a comfortable sport tourer, and feel I am real close.

I also use soft bags, the vetter bagman bags have been with me for many years, and have been used on almost all my bikes. I have also fabricated brackets that go from the rear footpegs, up to the rear turnsignal brackets, that keep the bags from moving around, and rubbing on the rear wheel.

I hope this helps anyone interested in doing this mod, I feel it's a great mod, and has me wondering if I still need my ST1300. ; )

Two other ways to get a higher bar on the bike:

I guess simply swapping the CR triple on wouldn't be good enough as the ignition wouldn't have a home any more.

Bart,
I really like it, the comfort of the high bars and the wind protection and good lighting of the R.

But its not clear to me from the pictures how you raised the fairing bracket. Did you re-drill the bracket itself, or do something to the mounting pad on the frame neck? Thanks.

The high bars clear the fairings no problem in stock form. I raised the high bars a half inch with risers and it made contact with the fairing at full lock. I drilled the bracket 3/8" higher and the bars now have about a quarter inch clearance.
Hope that helps.

Erik Buell Racing had them pretty cheap, but I doubt they'll sell any when they relaunch next month... I got an email reply saying they wouldn't be selling OEM parts any more.

I can still get parts at the dealership, backorders notwithstanding.
Al has a huge parts inventory at American Sport Bike.
WE have a tight community of owners with extra parts.

We are FAR from screwed.

I'm glad to see Erik Buell Racing moving up...
Still gotta get my ECM reflashed...

By all means, give Al a call! American Sport Bike still has many stock parts available. Don't give up hope!

If anyone is interested in doing this I have a set of race fairings from catalyst racing composites, Super sport Upper and Lower, new still in the box, go to their web site if you want pictures @ www.catalystracingcomposites.com you can contact them but I'm pretty sure you can cut out the headlight holes.

I also have a new in box front fairing bracket. You can see my craigslist posting here:http://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/mcy/2999724146.ht ml
