Today we finished dyno the Bike of Joe, who just run a 9.28 with our OLD tune.

We now had the bike in, that was never before on a dyno, the fuelmap was a e-mail map from us, and the intake stacks where fitted after we send the tune, and they are now tuned.

Here is the result 152 RWHP and 120 NM of Torque. Keep in mind it is SAE corrected, with a barometric correction on the rear wheel.

We had a wonderful day in the dyno, play a little tomorrow and we wait and see what he will run now..

Good Luck Joe.

Look here for more info and progress on Joe's drag experiences we help him with.

The other engine we are going to build for Joe is NOT ready yet

I'm truly amazed : ) is this the new look torque hammer exhaust then, think you may well be selling a few of them if it is.

So once the other engine is ready your going to be making over 160 WHP, that is Ducati territory, so much for them being market leaders of V-twins.

Twinmotorcycles-Buell all the way : )

Somebody's bike is fitted with our new sidewinder exhaust, which is where the power came from. Come on now Dris, the whole combination merits some credit.

I'm not going to even bother going annoy here on this one.

Just in the interest of direct comparison, what does a totally stock 1125 read on this particular dyno?

Michael, I understand that the fully open dragtube, was a secret from Erik Buell Racing. and Joe, told me not to speak about it.
The power gain is a combination of intake, headers, exhaust, and aspecially Tune..
We put a lot off time in getting the bike run propper in warm and cold wetter riding and let it make the same horsepower that is the really art in this little 1125 (-:

Duphuckincati,

Look down to the graph, My own 2008 1125R made bone stock day 1 on the dyno first run , 124 HP and 99 NM of Torqe.

The red line is Joe's 2008 1125R

The exhaust is available in the US.
Call Erik Buell Racing.

Was there a base run of Joe's bike (I'm sure there was)? I'd like to see what he rolled on the dyno with and what you actually tuned into it.

It would be interesting to finally see an apples to apples comparison on this forum. Way too many "look what my exhaust or tune does against this random dyno run from someone's stock setup."

Even dyno runs on the same machine if not done in the proper conditions can introduce error. If you are bragging about a 5% increase in power, then a 2-3% margin of error is very significant.

From a 123 hp starting point, that gain works out to about 23% although that is assuming Joe's bike started there.

I'll wait for Erik Buell Racing's results...

^^^^ The baseline run is not Joes bike. What did the addition of the E B R Sidewinder pipe and Dris' tune net?

I simply want to see what Dris can get power wise out of the E B R pipe.

You don't get clear answers from Twin Motorycles. I don't know whether it's because they don't value baseline dyno info or there's some language issues going on. Usually it's just like this scenario--look at this bike with 152 HP compared to rather meaningless numbers from a stock 1125R with 120-something HP.

Do I believe they are getting good HP increases? Yes. Is it as good as advertising? Not quite so sure.

But I will say with bold threads titles such as this one, without documented baseline information, it's a hollow boast at best.

went in with 145rwhp 108nm and rolled out with 152 @ the hide with 120 nm this was my smile we also sorted out other things like the cold warning going out at a lower temp as it could of been a problem on race day Dris also took fuel out on 1st start up .I WILL DO A THREAD ON MY VISIT WITH PICS SOON

"A hollow boas at best"

Are you freaking kidding me?!?!?!? Kinda messed up to be questioning the tuning results of a bike that runs low 9's in the quarter mile. It doesn't get any more real than that. GEEZ Harlan!
