Those of you that have the free spirits exhausts, how do you like them? Are there other exhaust that you wish you could change to? I'm really torn between buying the feespirits slip on and one of Keda Design's rt-4s. Let me know what you guys think. The only thing is I can get the free spirits basically now because i'm stationed in Italy 2 hours from where they make them, and I'll have to wait a while to get the keda design. Opinions would be appreciated.

If you're that close, go have a listen.
I have heard one on the Ronin 1125 as those guys at Magpul are local.
The FS sounded flat and wimpy.
Dean's RT-4 is Pure Sex®, get it.

2˘ are in.

Motorhead102482,

Buy a Jardine, the performance is much better then both of them...

If you go for the looks, go for free spirits if you go for performance, go for the Jardine with a good tune

really, I want good looks and performance. Well, best I can get of both. No disrespect, but the Jardine just doesn't do it for me.

I Know the Jardine looks like crap (did i say that) but the performance with our tune makes your bike scream...

If you don't mount a spoiler then Free Spirits looks very nice..

Do you know if the RS-419 from free spirits removes the side stand permanently? I know we talked about his before, but never got a definite answer.

That, and why is he just making stuff up? The shootout results aren't good enough? the Keda pipes were up 7 hp and as much as 5 lb/ft over the Jardine!

The Drummer hit 122 on that dyno, maybe 123. That was after a full tune.

The RT-4 hit 122 on the 2nd pull WITHOUT any extra help/tuning. It makes power. Period.

The 122 hp on that dyno is the equivalent of 137 on a dynojet or the land & sea dyno. It's not apples to apples, but it's close enough to get a decent idea of what it's capable of.

The spread between the Jardine and either of mine that were tested, regardless of the state of tune, 6 hp difference and 5 ft/lbs torque even with the stock ecm.

Based on the numbers the Drummer got at Erik Buell Racing, as well as what the RT-4 got right after it, you can get a rough idea of what kind of numbers it will be able to produce. I may not have a full production shop to crank these out like they (Jardine) do, but the stuff I make will make power, and a lot of it for a stock bike.

go with the keda
support the little guy
you'll get something with some pride in it rather than some off the shelf jobbie
don't buy a jardine
i make exhausts in the uk and have been following d adams stuff on here so if your us based, get him to do you something

I just moved away from Vicenza and looked at the FS pipes because I was so close. After dealing with them, Drummer, and seeing what Keda has produced if I didn't already own a Drummer I'd order an RT-4.

i went with the barker and am very happy with the performance and the looks,Barkers exhaust is within a hp and a foot pound of Deans pipes and no offense Dean,Barkers exhaust is well over 100.00 cheaper, and if you are on a budget that would be your best buy...in my honest opinion...

No offense taken, I got into this knowing that Tim's stuff is less expensive than mine. He makes good stuff, so it's just personal preference on the system you choose. He will get the lion's share of the market based on price/performance. I'm okay with that since I can't match his production output.

I have not seen a Free Spirits dyno run (at least the full headers version), aside from Dris's comparison of the FS slip-on with the Torque Hammer.

I'd like to see what the FS full system can do, with the Erik Buell Racing Race ECM, or with the Free Spirits piggyback ECM unit which they call the TFi (it has several settings--- street, race, probably somewhere in between, too, I would guess).

If you're out there, maybe you can get this information out of them, possibly share with the rest of us!! : )

I guess Zack thinks the FS sound crappy, but on all the Youtube footage of the Free Spirits systems, I am impressed with the sound. And the looks are awesome. The lack of performance data probably means I'm giving up on FS, though.

BTW, Dean, do you offer any color options?

I don't, but if you call Pete at GSD, he's got color options. I think he said he's got 14 of them, including the red to match the 1125's.

Hi Pariah,

I have the FS Full system RS413 I love the look and the sound ... I am planning to get some dyno runs from it .. however last week i got the harness recall done .. and 2 days later the stator fried itself .. the replaced the stator however still not charging right ..

Once that it done .. i'll get a dyno run of it .. Got a map from Dris also for the pipe and need to give him some feedback too ..

Just need to get the stator stuff sorted first ..

I purchased this for the following reasons.

1. Looks
2. Needed a better sound than stock

Performance wasnt a question .. as i dont use the potential of the bike for street riding and the stock exhaust is quite good ..

Boogman: I'm looking forward to it, as I'm sure others are as well.

Dean: Hmmm... that's cool. So can you send to Pete directly when you are done, and then we get shipped from Pete? Probably more trouble for you, I'm sure, but overall less time, I would think...

Motorhead102482.

The RS-419 is a full race system, and YES you need to remove the side stand.

T_man,

I do that to often calling our Torque Hammer makes the most low end Torque (-:

The Jardine is the next good low end torque Pipe, and easy to get and cheap for USA. It makes 139 HP and 111 NM of Torque

Freight_dog,

They didn't had the time to do a good tune on a pipe I do.. The Jardine is not a easy tune pipe That is why I can tell this sorry for that.
