What was your final buffing done with. I have tried several plastic polishes and only ended with a haze.

Very nice. I love the fact that these plastics aren't painted.

If it's too much to type Jack, why not create for us a serious of audio records or podcasts, LOL.

That looks like a very nice improvement. My pillion seat cover has a few spots on it that looks like the clear coat has rubbed off. Is there clear coat on these plastics or do I just need to do some polishing to get the shine back?

Great to see you guys fixing this stuff. It does take some time and a little patience but it's a lot quicker than purchasing new parts and waiting on them to show up, and once you've done it and are familiar with this plastic, it's not that bad at all.

Good work!

Does anyone who has spoken with Jack care to type out the secret? I don't mind calling, I just figured it would be nice to have it posted for everyone to know.

I have rubbed out some deep gouges in a pod while waiting for a new one.
Wet sand with LOTS of water, I started with 230 grit and worked up to 2000.
Then I hand-rubbed with 4-0 steel wool followed with Meguiar's Gold Class.

Came out very nice.

Yeah same steps as Zac but after I used 2000 grit I used a buffer with new pad with turtle wax rubbing compound, use the TW until it almost shines like factory, then use a product called Duragloss 681 with the buffer and new pad again. Use the Duragloss until you are happy with the shine. I used the Duragloss 681 because it is for colored plastic, you'll have to go to there website to figure out where to buy it in your state.
