Well, if you've been living under a rock the past 6 months, We've got a pretty important event planned....

Unfortunately, the banquet is sold out for Friday night. But there are still some concert ONLY tickets available.
As of right now, there are still 30 available. I'd suggest, if you plan on attending, I'd get them now. As the weather gets nicer, us locals will be running in to other Buellers and tell them about the event!

I wish I could hang out on Thursday and Friday, but have to work. Is there a schedule for Saturday for those of us that can't make the other stuff? Would love to ride up and hang out for a while.

I would love to do the track day, but all the requirements will probably put me off the list. Riding up there, swapping out coolant, safety wiring if needed, etc. will kill it for me, plus returning it back to street condition after, not sure I can do it. Will there be techs/mechanics there doing stuff like that? How much will it run to prep the bike for a track day? I'll have new tires on it, fresh oil change, and good brake pads, but what else do I need? I'm going to be riding at least 2000 miles on this trip, so I can only carry so much stuff with me.

Novice and intermediate do not require coolant swap OR safety wiring.

Novice & Intermediate Bike requirements:
  • Sturdy controls; handlebars, clip-ons, foot pegs, levers
  • Relatively new brake pads
  • Tires with NO MORE THAN 30% wear
  • Tape mirrors, blinkers, taillights, head light or remove completely
  • Safety wire Kickstand or remove. (ties available from Tech Inspection)

ADVANCED Group bike requirements
  • ANY antifreeze type coolant must be removed from bike and replaced with
  • distilled water, Water Wetter, or Engine Ice.
  • OIL plug safety wired or otherwise sealed.

ALL RIDERS MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Helmet with windscreen, Snell/DOT approved, no *dings
  • Leather gloves, gauntlet style over the wrist
  • Boots, sturdy, over ankle (advanced requires race boots)
  • Leather or reinforced synthetic material suit, protective jacket & pants

There will be plenty of experienced people there to help out. I'll have a fairly decent set of tools along, and extra painters tape to tape things up for you.

Now I gotta squeek out an extra $200 for this. Damnit Steve, why did you have to make it easy? I'd be in the novice class for sure.

I'll be riding in and back, so the track day is out... be my luck to wad and have to ride a cripple home.

Very cool for "non'riders" tho I'm into that idea.
Especially if there's gonna be an 1190 to drool around(not on...).

Ok, looks like this might be an option now. I might end up driving up instead of riding. I got the go-ahead on the track day, so haul the bike/gear, etc. up there, unload, run around, race, play, dinner/concert, play more on saturday, then back home. If I go that route, I can probably bring along some extra goodies for the impulse buyers if I get them done. : D

I'm in for the track day, intermediate.
I am always the only Buell on track, it'll be awesome to be mostly Buell's.
As Warren Miller says, "you'll only be a year older if you don't do it this year!": )

IF only someone there would loan/rent me a bike... I could fly in. Not enough time to ride there from Cali, but I'm NOT going all that way if I cant ride Blackhawk.
Beware the swamp!!!

$170 is a great price to fill you need for speed, and it's much cheaper than a speeding ticket.

Time is running out. They will be opening this to the general public, probably this week. If you were on the fence about going to this, you better jump NOW. I just got off the phone with Bud, there's not very many listed for just the Buell riders.
