Remember that red Blast that I helped with way back last year - Thomas has promised it to me when we get done fixing his father's bike - got it running , now to figure out why it's evap system keeps leaking gas - it's a 94 1500 Vulcan - so that is another Blast coming back my way, and from two I will make one!!! So Rat Blastard got a new dash  The speedo is corrected is account for the final drive and wheel size being different than the ECM parent bike (XB9SX). | ||

Firstly, I apologize for the poor quality photos, had to use my phone bc my camera was on the fritz. Ok, so I bought a $12 LED tail light w/license place bracket off Amazon, already had the LED turn signals installed but wanted something more low profile. Originally was just gonna use the tail light as it came and mount the blinkers to the side under the fender but got to looking at things and realized I could hide it all inside the original light cover. Mocked it up and it ended up working great. Tail light mounted up and tucked in nicely, angled it down a little to help with visibility but its brighter than the stock set up anyways and the lights kind of bounce off the license plate, too. Lastly I just made a simple cover for all the wires out of some thin sheet metal I had laying around, its a little rough but does the job. Overall pretty satisfied with how the project turned out and look forward to whats next, got some 2.5” rise bars on the way, eventually, they’ve been on back order for like a month. I also want to do and intake and exhaust but can’t rationalize parting with the coin ($300+????) for legit exhaust system right now, so I’ll settle with the stock muffler with some ¼” holes drilled in it for now (youtube link of what it sounds like, according to an iPad haha: https://youtu.be/9kP2dWtOlmw Can’t wait to get something different though, that thing is just way heavier than an exhaust should be. Thanks! They are Shinkos (not the best but way better than the Dunlops that were on it). And yea red wasn't my first choice in bike color, I'm a big fan of white, but it's really growing on me!  | ||

 finaly got the right size to load. It's a 2003 still have more plans for it, I cut the belt guard and spun a front pulley cover on the lathe that's not shown. | ||

Thanks Gearhead, I have run Pirelli tires a long time, all the way back to the 1980s' I ran at tire they called the Phantom it was a dual compound harder in the center softer on the edges, they worked well on a little Seca I used to own. Hey guys I take it you both prefer the X B platform. Is this your alternative to a Blast? I was interested in the Cyclone because of the tube frame. I have also been looking at the V-ROD and the XG-750, I see Harley in the future trying to use the v-60 as a factory racer platform. I wish they would have done a little more modern design with the XG, inverted forks, mono shock, and some rear sets but they didn't. | ||
