I recently installed the modified 'super boot' and after 20-30 miles the dern thing popped off. I had a buddy sure up the allen key side while I tightened it with the wrench but later realized the aluminum bar was slightly off center.

I blamed this (and my buddy) for the first failure.
Re-installed damn boot-
Visually I made certain that both sides were seated pushed flush with carb and manifold and tightened the hell out of it assuring the retaining bar was centered in the bracket. I got maybe 60 miles on it and BOOM it popped off again!?!

Any idea of what I might be doing wrong?? i.e. not holdin' my mouth right, not spittin' on it, so forth and so on..

My guess is you dont have it on all the way. Since its a modified stock boot, it should fit exactly the way the stock boot fits. Push it on and it kind of 'clicks' into place.

Do you have an Oak tree in your front yard?

Thats just my guess though. 3 Blasts, 10 years, several thousand racetrack miles and not one superboot!

I'll double / triple check about the 'clicking' this afternoon.

Ironically the boot popped off 5ft from a big oak tree but @ my brother in laws house lol.

Oh, thats bad. You'll need a friend to help. You'll both need to dance naked 3 times around the Oak tree at midnight to reverse the bad mojo.

Make sure thats done before you ride the Blast again. While it might not seem to help or fix anything, if not done, you definitely wont fix your problem! ; )

Preferably with a torque-wrench or spanner in one hand - you want to guarantee the fix - right?

I just discovered millimeter(s) worth of "built-up" around the manifold and corresponding part on the carb. It was fairly simple to scrape off. I am convinced that no matter how securely I put that boot on, it was not creating a proper seal. Might want to check that out.

Well, that might just have been condensation build up. Gas is cold and the engine is hot. Some condensation can form. Didn't see it or smell it, so I can't tell you that's exactly what it is, but I can tell you what's possible.
