I did the shift pawl adjustment and replaced a spring on the Shifter assembly. Now, I am trying to do the clutch adjustment. I have been reading and rereading the manual trying to get it done properly. I have also checked on line for tips and followed them. However, I can't get the clutch to engage. Any advice?

Start with handle all the way pulled in and tied down, then loosen at adjustment, then loosen primary, adjust clutch to very light bottom, then back out 1/4 turn - no more. Release at handle, adjust at adjuster, re-adjust primary by the book plus 14 faces turned out, ride around for 1/2 hr, find a flat area, and adjust primary by ear on kick stand, tire chocked by rock, at warm idle on. Then when done turn off bike. rest for 15 min to a half hour, ride around for another 1/2 hr to an hour, if primary noisey, adjust in a couple flats and repeat. When done, ride and enjoy - if you where not already - lol

Thanks EZ. Turns out I just had it way too tight to begin with. Had to start it to actually figure out what was going on. On a side note, what would be the best replacement oil filter instead of going through the dealer.
