San Diego HD should have them according to murfreesburo hd. Will call when they open.If they dont have them Im going to hit up the honda dealer. This is in reference to front brake pistons and seals.

has anybody put bigger rear brakes on? i need more rear brake. the stocker has little power. i don,t think i could lock the rear wheel if i tried.

Then there is something wrong with your rear brake.
The Blast stops with the front brake. The harder the stop and you hit that rear brake it'll come around on you really fast. I've angled my brake pedal down so its hard to reach in a panic. My bigger bikes use the rear brake to stop so its force of habit to use it. But its a real bad idea to try and stop the Blast with it.
If you want more brake, try adding a braided steel line. If thats not enough, you can probably swap out the master cylinder for one with a smaller bore as its a pretty generic design. If thats not enough, you can swap out the brake pads for ones with more grip (they can get pricey).

There's a reason why so many Blasts have a cracked headlight and bent flyscreen brackets: The front brake is too much for the crappy Dunlop and under hard braking the rear tire locks up with little effort. Down you go.

More cowbell, maybe. More rear brake, never.

I only use the rear brake to activate the brake light when I am down shifting or when I am doing tight parking lot maneuvers.

yes i have bent flyscreen. but it was cause my rear master was totally gone, all the fluid leaked out. i replaced it. guess i will just stick with it. thanks

Hello badweb, look what I managed to do.. I realize why it happened but I was wondering what the best way to fix this would be, the disk and caliper are rubbing really hard, and I can't tell what's bent or broken, it all appears fine to me.

have you taken the wheel off recently? You might have the spacers swapped Left to right.

Not sure if this on here somewhere else, but I hadn't seen it and it looks potentially interesting if you take the time to put a wheel chock on one side and some tie down points to be able to strap the bike down so it doesn't fall. :-)

What is the secret to keeping the axle from moving while trying to remove the axle nut for changing tires/taking off wheels? The other side isn't shaped for a socket and the little bitty holes in the other side are so small I am finding problems getting something the right size to put in there...

I am feeling like it should be something obvious since all searches provide an answer of "remove Axle nut" as if it should be as easy as a twist top beverage...

Johnk, I use a phillips screw driver. Your only wanting to keep it from spinning so put all the pressure on the wrench turning the nut. It shouldn't bend the screw driver if you do it right.

Left side spacer for rear wheel question. First off how big is it? And where exactly does it fit on axle?

The repair manual shows really well the Right side assembly and not so much the left side. I have a feeling my 4 year old helping me may have ended up with me misplacing the left side spacer. I really wish I could find a better diagram or picture of the wheel/axle/swingarm/brake assembly all combined. The kind of show an almost one and then show some pictures, but unless I am missing something I am not finding the complete picture.

Right side is about* 2 1/4". Left side is about 1".
Just an axle, the 2 spacers, washer, lock washer and nut.
As long as you have one original spacer you can just use washers on the other side remembering not to squeeze the swingarm when tightening the axle nut. Everything should fit just snug before putting the nut on and torquing down.
The caliper mount fits against the swingarm. The spacer between it and the wheel bearing.

*About=length using a ruler, not precise.
Above assembly doesnt list the inner wheel spacer as that only comes out if you remove the bearings.

Hi everyone! I don't think this post will end up in the right spot but I've been searching for a while now for my answer. Time to replace my rear tire....suggestions please? FL riding, just weekends and occasional commute. The stock Pirelli mt 75 has been fine except for how quickly it flattened out. I have just under 5k miles. Maggie recommended a different tire...66 maybe, but I can't find the specifics. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Should, but theres no guarantee until you try it (if you can find specs on the tire that will give you a good idea if it will fit or not).

But that sounds like a front tire size.

The Thumper Forum approved oversized fronts are 110/70/16

Any tire made of 130/70/16 was made of unobtanium in days of old...

I want to see pictures...or a linky

It might be cool to have a 130/70/16 front and a 14/70/16 rear, that would make for some true tracking and some heavy steering, I'm just saying it might be fun to see how it would handle.

I'm no expert on this, I just thought I remember not seeing a 130/70/16 available when I was shopping Blast tires regularly
I would like to try the Avon AM 26 120/80/16 on the front and the same on the rear
