Supposed to be 55 to 56 wheel base - so that swing arm isn't that much longer. Seat height looks to be around 29 to 30 inches. Using the motor as a guide. Harris's frames are famous - Spondon's competition in performance aftermarket frames - so it will be up to the task of tackling corners - lol - such a cool kit of parts to have a Blast motor in the heart of.
The motor - keep it simple - 600cc, Baker 6 speed, 12 primary gearing, primary cover, and chain, Erik Buell Racing slipper-clutch, SE530 with 1.75 ratio-rockers, stage two head... - Yeah that's the ticket!

Gearheaderico, I removed the Y-frame because I put the cart ahead of the horse! I thought that because I was having trouble with the gear shift lever, my problem was probably inside the primary. Now I know that a good turn of a wrench was all I needed!

Well, I was afraid of that because when you mentioned the loose shift lever and "we" already had you taking the primary apart!!!
In this case you weren't the only one who jumped the gun!

I recommend taking the lazy mans approach to repair: "Whats the easiest simplest way I can fix this problem?" Which means look for the most obvious, simple causes to a problem first. Often with the Blast its an easy fix.

That Mac bike looks pretty cool. Where are they going to put the battery, starter, alternator, wiring harness, reservoirs... Seems to me that the "minimalist" look they're going for is going to turn very cluttered, very quickly.

If you cruise their site, you'll see the battery at the frames base, wiring routed between frame and tank - hidden, What freaks me out is that Harris choose this for a hobby, this guy is a renowned frame maker.

Wowed - Mr. Harris is one of the finest custom frame manufactures for motorcycle engines in the world - him and Sponden are the two best - at least the rest of the world thinks so, and he's devoting time for a Blast motor - wow - how cool is that? Here is the link you want to see where they hide the battery - http://blog.mac-motorcycles.com/category/mac-news/

Hey what size is the blast's stock headlight? 6"? 7"? I want one for my '90 GSXR 750 cafe fighter project. I think it would be cool to have a BLAST part on my bike.

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my bike where the neutral light permanently stays on. I have already replaced the neutral indicator switch.
When the kickstand is down, the bike will not idle in neutral. What's interesting though, is that when the stand is down, if i put the bike in first and slowly release the clutch, the neutral light will go out.
If I disconnect the kickstand switch, the neutral light will go out when in gear, but I am unable to ride the bike.
Also, behind the flyscreen there are two plugs. When unplugged, the neutral light goes out, but the turn signals also do not work.

Please help me. I have searched this forum, as well as google many times and have been unsuccessful with finding a solution. At this point I really have no idea what the problem is.

Thank you,
Lance

Welcome.
I dont have much time but I'll get it started....
Is the neutral light staying on the ONLY problem? It will run normally otherwise?

How long have you had the bike? Is it stock?Has the light always been on? How many miles on the bike?

Did you replace the neutral switch to fix the light stays on problem or was there a different reason?
Did the switch look exactly the same as the old switch?

The bike wont run with the kickstand switch disconnected, but if you jump or connect the two wires together, you will have bypassed the switch and the bike wont care if the stand is down or up (be careful!).

It sounds as if some wires may be crossed or a safety switch may be malfunctioning causing the light to stay on.

Its also possible that it may be an internal trans issue.

Dis-able kick stand switch, that is the problem - I'm betting, replace or leave dis-abled, cutting and twist wires together.

fyi. Rex here. Listed below are a couple of thumper rides that is done by the FSSNOC. Four Stroke Singles National Owners Club. These guys will drive days to have lunch and turn around and ride back. I thought you might be interested in a couple of their rides. If you are not a member, they have a pretty good yearly calendar and a bi monthly newsletter, and a weekly on line notice.

Pretty cool folks, from what I have seen. I am going to try and attend the California ride, if work does not conflict.

THUMPERCAFE #27 ... SATURDAY, JUNE 11, 2011 OLANCHA, CA.

THUMPERCAFE #28 ... SATURDAY, AUGUST 13, 2011 ROSEDALE, IN.

THUMPERCAFE #29 ... SATURDAY, OCTOBER 08, 2011 SOMEWHERE IN NErik Buell RacingASKA.

There you have it ... our schedule for the year of 2011, our 25th year (!!!) as a National Club. Expect some unique and interesting tweaks to the above listed events. After the first of the year, more details will be available and you won't be disappointed, at least we hope not...

If you haven't been able to attend a FSSNOC event in the past, it is our hope that somehow you'd make it happen for this, our 25th year. I know you're busy. I know about the economy. I know that you have a very good reason. All good stuff. But, all that aside, it would be AWESOME if we could get every FSSNOC member out there to attend at least ONE of these FSSNOC events.

If you have a question about these events, please contact us here at FSSNOC, we'd love the opportunity to visit with you about attending a ThumperCafe ... and, of course, for all you clubmembers who have thumped all over the USA (and a couple of times, beyond...) to participate in FSSNOC events over the last 25 years, we sincerely hope you can attend again in 2011. FSSNOC has fielded over 100 events in ALMOST all 50 states since our humble beginning in 1986. The scenery, the food, the friendship ... what we have done and seen has been absolutely awesome! You Guys and Gals are more than clubmembers ... you are dear friends! Consider yourselves personally invited to attend one - two- or three of these ThumperCafe gatherings. Hey, you're FAMILY! - #000.

If you do sign up, mention a couple of things. Badweb, ASBN, and my membership number 4536..
