The owner's manual says:

quote:

Do not tow a disabled motorcycle. Towing can adversely affect stability and handling, which could result in death or serious injury. (00017a)

I can't imagine that a trailer would be any better.

No, I mean not to connect the Blast as a trailer, I mean have the Blast towing a small trailer.

I think that's what the manual meant.

At any rate, it's a bad idea.

Do not tow ANYTHING with a BLAST unless you have a death wish.

Some would put a trailer hitch on a Goldwing and tow a trailer carrying a Buell Blast ... you might tow a trailer with a Buell Blast carrying a roller skate ...

It makes the bike unstable and its not made for it. The Blast is also 'hinged' and I cant imagine putting a trailer on it would be good for it. I'd also want to carry an extra belt. Its also not kind to the Blast in other ways.
A Wing or big Harley weighs about 700lbs-800lbs. Trailer fully loaded about 300-400lbs (but I know they've done more). So that puts the load at about half the bikes weight. For the Blast half weight would be about 180lbs. I dont think its that big a deal at minimum weights to tow a trailer as long as you remember what your tow vehicle is. But you wont be hauling much either!

My personal opinion is that if you are towing a trailer, you're carrying TOO MUCH STUFF!!!

PS They have attached a side car to a Blast.

"You are carrying TOO MUCH STUFF!!!"

So true. I learned a long time ago that I could live on the road for 2-3 weeks with just enough clothes and toiletries packed into a single duffel bag. The extras, such as rain gear, tools, etc. in the saddle bags. Anything more, just became a hassle.

Lighten the load, live for the freedom of the open road and you will enjoy the ride just as much as you do on the Wing. Maybe more.

Gearheaderiko - where have you seen a sidecar on a blast? I look occasionally and have never found anything on the net.

Took me awhile to remember his online name:

There's probably more pictures of his "rig" here if you search his posts. I couldnt get anything with "sidecar" or side hack" or "rig".

There are quite a few twin Buells with hacks though:
