When I turn the key and press to start it, it just clicks, wines, and draws power making the headlight dim. I believe the battery is ok. Any guesses what it might be. I was thinking it might be the starter? Up until now, there would be a click and brief delay, then the bike would start but today nothing.

sounds like a stuck starter solenoid. try tapping the starter with a hammer and see if it can move afterwords.

Chigirl,
It sounds like your battery is weak, you are not getting enough voltage to your starter. Check your battery connections, charge your battery then try it again.

Chigirl-+1 on the weak battery. My wife's bike would fire, but not run Saturday[several days of 15-30 degrees]. A few hours on a slow charge and I took it for a nice ride.

I put a charger on the battery and just cleaned the terminals, so I'm pretty sure it is not the battery but I will take it to have it tested. As for the solenoid, I'll try anything. My friend has all my manuals, where is it and what does it look like?

No its not the starter, have never heard of a starter going bad on a Blast. Check your grounds, a single vibrates, and the grounds could be loose.

Ok looks like it was the battery. EZ fix.

Can anyone recommend a battery and a good online place to buy one? Thanks

I bought my last one at the local dealer.
