No.The filter fits the American Sport Bike stack. It could also fit other stacks or custom Outerwears sizes are available. You just need to get the right 'filter' material.

I can't find the sock. I searched by part number still nothing. i don't need the stack just the sock. Also, how tight can the exhaust be? The manual says to hand tighten the head fasteners but the exhaust rattles hand tightened.

it's rattling at the header thus all the way down the pipe. if i place my foot lightly on the exhaust it stops. I had it tightened down tight and the rattling stopped, but when i was troubleshooting the carb issue I lossened it back up to hand tightned just in case over-tightening was causing a problem with air flow. But now its an annoying rattle and want to re-tighen it if it is not going to do any damage by doing so. And ill call them tomorrow about the carb sock. thanks for all your help guys. I really appreciate it.

The manual starts out by saying hand tight, but thats only the beginning of the procedure.
Final instructions are to tighten lower nut then upper nut to 6-8ft lbs (8-11Nm).

Its best to follow the instructions exactly. While perhaps not critical and the gasket can (often, but not always) be re used, if you have a torque wrench and a manual, you cant go wrong (on the exhaust at least LOL!).

Check the exhaust nuts periodically as they have been known to come loose. I use nylocks (nuts) and never have a problem.

ok. so most of the problems seem to be eliminated but one. My gas mileage. I am still only getting 35-38 miles to the gallon. I have done oil changes, new tires, fuel filter,air filter, spark plug (not plug wire), and driving slow. Still nothing. bad gas mileage.

I think that is about average if you have a modified intake and after-market exhaust. That is about what I get.

I get 40mpg "around town", but I do have a modified engine. However, I didnt get much better mpg before that.
An aftermarket exhaust should actually get better mpg.
Do you have a sticking float or needle? Float improperly set? Do you shut the gas off when the bike isnt running? Bas gas may also contribute to the cause including old gas, too low octane rating, ethanol and 'winter blend'. Incorrectly gapped spark plug? Incorrect timing?
Engine worn-have you checked the compression?

I've gotten better than 70mpg on a stock Blast with aftermarket exhaust. 65 mpg on a modified Blast (head, piston, cams,ignition).
But the bike I run on the street (I have more than one, LOL) has always gotten bad mpg and I've changed everything that would matter (but its much faster now!). Not having a working TPS can affect gas mileage (in theory, how much a difference it actually makes???).

I do know how to improve mpg, but my motivation has always been going faster on a tank of gas, not farther!

Ok. Damn. Problem and problems again. I got a lemon and Harley won't do anything. Bike has under 4,000 miles and exhaust is completely cracked and severed (Explaining rattling from exhaust above.) I know this happens, but in such a short span of time?? I really wish it was working for me as well as it seems to work for others. Any suggestions? anyone know California lemon laws for motorcycles? @%$$#**!!!!!!

Its 2001 and Buell is 'dead' so I doubt anything can be done: ( But I'm no expert. I'm also assuming you're not the original owner so who knows what it went through before you got it.
There is too much that can go wrong with the exhaust. If the bike is running poorly and backfiring, it can crack the exhaust. The exhaust can also hit the ground when going too fast over certain bumps and the drainage ditches that are very common is SoCal. So its hard to prove that it was just a defective exhaust.
Install an aftermarket exhaust using some of the stock mounting hardware.

It was new. It had 10 or so miles on it. They told me it would have been from moving it back and forth. I'm finding it hard to believe (problems and someone returned it is my guess.) As far as ditches; I've never scraped bottom and noeone has rode the bike but me. It's possible of it cracking for running poorly, because it runs like (fill in the blank.)I've talked to them and they won't do anything and the loan I got was a sucker punch to the face (READ FINE PRINT!!!)I'm trying to sell it but I have a feeling I'm gonna get less than 1k for it leaving me with more loan. I'd drop more $$ in it if I had a place and time to do repairs. Home Owner Associations fine you for working on vehicles here. Damn I'm bummed; i was so stoked to get it. One thing after another. A good deal turned sour grapes and can't even make a descent glass of wine out of em'.

Motorcycles are shipped to the Dealership with some Assembly required. Before delivery to the Customer the Technician assemble the Motorcycle adds Fluids, starts the Motorcycle to warm it to Operating Temperature and then take the Motorcycle on a short Test Ride to make sure the Motorcycle does not have a Mechanical or Electrical issues that would endanger the customer. That is why your Motorcycle had 10 miles on it. As for the broke Exhaust, mine broke at about 4500 miles from pushing it in and out of my storage building and missing the ramp from time to time. I just wrote it off as my fought and considered it as a good excuse to modify. “Modify=More Power”

Have you tried taking it to an Automotive Muffler Shop to see if they can Weld it back for you?

Another suggestion you might try is to ask around where you live to see if you can find an Independent Motorcycle shop. They tend to be more personable, easy to work with plus they usually have Cheaper Labor Rates and Cheaper Parts Source. The Internet is also a good source for Parts.

The only place I might suggest is Glendale HD/Buell. The last time I was there they did actually have a Blast on the rack (not shoved in a corner) with the top end off. 'They' (Ernie at Glendale) also (along with Antelope Valley HD/Buell) support the Blast road race class at Willow Springs.
I can't guarantee anything. I had them dyno my first raceBlast and even though I didnt buy the (or any) bike there, they treated me like a king and a real paying customer (not like an inconvenience, which is the way Blast owners usually get treated).
Yeah, they're about 150miles from you: ( Call first and I'd ask for Ernie Snair in sales. He doesnt work in the shop, but may offer some insight as who to talk too (mention my name, Blast racing and Badweb). Thats if you dont fix it yourself, want to take it somewhere and are willing to drive.

Sadly, its a very simple bike that some (many?) dealers have gone to seemingly great lengths to screw up. Simple does not apparently equate to easy.
