Trying to help a friends 03 Blast.

The primary shoe is toast, and the primary and tranny are covered in the aftermath.

Doesn't seem like any real damage, but I need a new shoe, and all the gaskets/seals required when the cover gets pulled.

Anyone know where to find a list with part numbers of the shoe and gaskets/seals?
The dealer gave me a part# 39922-00Y for the shoe, but I see different numbers here?

Also, is there a good way to clean the crap out of the tranny without pulling the motor and splitting the case?

Thanks in advance for any help!

shoe: 39922-00Y
gasket: 25352-00YA
shifter shaft seal: 37101-84A (but I wouldnt replace unless it needs it).
clutch cover: 25377-03A

Dont forget to adjust the primary chain/shoe as outlined here. Tightening it to the repair manual specs is likely why the shoe came apart (or that it was never adjusted).

I've no advice on how to clean out the tranny, just be creative and perhaps do a short mileage change on the primary fluid after its very hot.

When I had a problem with wate in my primary. I took the cover off and sprayed everything down with brake clean. Let air dry then put back together with new seals and filled with fluid. Ran that way for about a month then changed fluid.

Sorry, bike is an 02! any difference?

Tightening it to the repair manual specs is likely why the shoe came apart (or that it was never adjusted).

Actually, it was run dry for a bit...

Shoe is nearly 75% gone, except for the chunk I found in the case. Lots of plastic floating around in there.

"Dont forget to adjust the primary chain/shoe as outlined here. Tightening it to the repair manual specs is likely why the shoe came apart (or that it was never adjusted)". I didnt know the history of the bike, but please heed the warning. Repair manual method is too tight (in case you didnt know, but if you didnt, this will save your friend problems down the road).
Clutch cover may have old style gasket pt# 25351-00Y.
New style cover and gasket kit is pt# 25349-03

Sorry, didn't mean to make it sound like I was discounting your advice!

Warning heeded! Seems like all Blast/XB factory primary adjustments are on the tight side.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

Off to order the goods.

Yes, those are the gaskets (only replace the shifter shaft seal if needed. It can be more trouble than its worth).
