There's no doubt a Blast can do 1000 miles in 24 hours but what about your rear end? Good luck with that one...lol

Actually if I remember right she is running a Meyer seat - she should be fine there!

EZ - yepper on the Mayer saddle - no problem there. I have tried using a Air Hawk as well and it is great for circulation but don't like the position it puts me in. In the end, I'm happy with the Mayer and can deal with a little soreness for the love of the ride.

1,050 miles, 19 hours, 57 minutes

All hail the Queen of Blasting!
Truly an awesome feat for anyone on a Blast. You should get a special patch (or tattoo)!
That also deserves a spot in Fuell
.

Thanks Erik - it was just a great feeling to pull off a run I've wanted to do for a long time. I love the riding, but not a huge fan of just blasting down a highway for hours on end. I love the beauty of a ride down a quiet two-lane country road.

Maybe it will get me a "special" tour of the Buell plant when I head north this summer (ha ha)..

Not looking for any accolades other than the joy of the ride.

I'm all about promoting the Blast as more than a bike to learn on then toss after a season of riding. Thats why I'm vocal on racing a Blast and track days. I'd love to see you in Fuell so people can see the Blast as more than just a starter bike. Its a real motorcycle!

I've never once gotten the impression you're looking for anything more than just sharing your joy of the ride.
Thats very cool.

beautiful ride, but you missed some great scenic roads up here in and around savannah and the islands! next time, give a little advance of the route and there may be more people to ride with. (unless i am missing a point somewhere?!?)

Dwinecracker: I have had the chance to ride that part of Georgia and love it. Could still use a little more time up there. Thumper and I are not much into group riding - we are more apt to enjoy the ride together and then love to meet up with riders at a stop chat it up and share riding stories. If we get up there will let you know and maybe we could meet up somewhere.

BTW - no time for the back-roads scenic ride, we had over a 1,000 miles to go and a short time to do it to qualify for the IBA.

Zane: Yep - I made it
and the Blast performed like the awesome machine I love so much.

Swampy - Thanks

I've recovered sufficiently enough to actually consider another endurance run...I must be crazy!
