Lakeland Harley Davidson-Buell in Lakeland Florida has a Medium size jacket on the rack...but thats it...I got the only Small they had...they don't have any more of any size in stock.

The dealership has a good parts stock, but little in the way of Buell clothing. When I bought my bike, I had to opt for a Harley mesh jacket since they had nothing else to fit me.

You may want to check some of the Buell sponsor links...I have gotten some stuff from Appleton...they did a good job.

Liberty has a TON of stuff online, with a nice little discount. Now that price you got on the Adventurer jacket is sick, I doubt you find something like that very often.

WHOO HOO!!! Congrats Erik, It's supposed to get warm out by the weekend. Hey if possible I could still use your help in trying to figure out what's wrong with my Blast? If not I'll have to bring it to a shop and hope they can figure it out. I'm real hesitant 'bout bringin it to the Dealer cuz they charge so much for labor. Anyways glad to hear you got the license thing taken care of.

You know we are going through (Corona - wrong - so corrected) San Miguel - to SLO - surely you have some favorite twisties you could loop together and show us?
Also is their a fast Backroad to SLO from there or is 101 it? I have a longer route from there to there, but I'm thinking that it may be too long - as it is we'll have to fill up there regardless after over 90 miles of twisties - lol -

Ed, Corona is down south and a little east of SLO. But all the twisties which I am NOT skilled enough to ride at a brisk pace on, are towards the south west of me. There are alot of roads out in the hills. Ortega Hwy is not too far south of where I live and I have Never Ever been on it. Chicken I guess, or I just need some friends to ride with that won't try to push the limits. When I used to ride a Loooonng time ago all my friends rode too reckless for me to tag along.

Hey Sycho,

My buddies all ride Super Dukes and souped jap bikes and they all agree that they'll wait for me at the next stop light. They also know that, since I'm riding within my limits, I'll keep an eye out for them in case they exceed theirs!!!!!

I paid the $33 ticket + $50 for contempt of court (for not showing up 20 years ago) + $100 "license restoration fee" to NJ for a license I havent had in years and then I waited and waited and waited and called and called and called and 2 weeks after the court date where the judge 'found me guilty', it finally cleared through the NJ & CA DMV.
Total time without a license-4 months. Time to get it cleared up-5 weeks.

Most disturbing quote on the phone from both NJ & CA DMV personnel on the day it cleared was "Okay, its cleared, I'll just go ahead and put that through for you" as if they were waiting for me to call before they did anything.

Thats the short story.
New Jersey got their pound of flesh and I'm no longer a fugitive from justice (hopefully).

Anyone tried any fabric paint on the Buell saddlebags? I picked up a pair, but they are big time faded to brown.

For the past 4 rides it has always been a private group thing - usually just Blastards, though hopefully there will be a 620 Duc with us as well, and maybe an XB. The group from the North - thats my group - meets a group of Blastards from the South - led by Erik O. - he races the bikes - Willows and such - one day of the ride is to make it a ride to get there - that route is going to deliver a world of twisties, in some areas where you may not see another car in an 40 min.s time.

The next day is a day of riding together as a bigger group - enjoying the roads, and maybe checking out the Sovran Motorcycle Museum for a couple hours, then heading back and hitting one of the best Rib joints in Cali - Mo's - where the ribs and beer flow - since we walk the few blocks from the hotel!
The third day we say our goodbyes and the Northern group heads for the Coast and HWY 1, where we would slowly peal off towards our prospective homes - the Coast is most always a great ride!

That is the SLO ride!

I have 4 rooms reserved at the Travelodge in San Lois Obispo for the nights of the 24th and 25th - those would probably be shared rooms, if you want a room to yourself - I would suggest calling them!
Join us for a Really good time!

The Northern to SLO Route:

Comming back from SLO is simply going up hwy 1 and then peeling off for home!

At this point in the SLO ride history, if you ride something else, its cool. Jprovo will probably be on a ULY for example. Honorary Blaster Kyle, may be on his Sportster. I'm sure I'll be Blastin' unless I lend mine to someone who wants to go.

ATTN Southern California Blastards: Since I'm way behind on the promotion of this (other things have been needing my attention), anyone can feel free to talk this up and make arrangements. Dont wait for me, you wont be stepping on my toes if you dont.
Its not my ride. Its not Ed's ride. It OUR ride (as in any Blastard that wants to go). It has always been fun.

I am back in the Lower pennisula. I woke up to 8 inches of powder snow in Lake linden, MI. Google map it is in the middle of now where.

I dorove 7 hours along Lake Superior, which isn't frozen...yet, chalk one up for global warming! But, super cold winds make the dreaded Lake Effect snow, so I drove through white out conditions today.

I made it to the lower pennisula this evening did a little work then went to my friends house out in the middle of no where again. No cell phone reception I left that miles up the trail I came down to get here, but good God I have Wifi, go figure.

So a few pictures for your viewing pleasure.

So Indy... it was YOU who beat me on Ebay... LOL! No hard feelings, I'm glad they went to another BWB. If the bags in question really are the ones that I was looking at, I was thinking Kiwi liquid shoe polish would bring them back to black. Use at your own discretion however 'cause once that stuff touches fabric it's gonna be that way for quite a while. LOL, don't ask how I know. Now if I could only figure out who won the white fender and tail section... <jealous>

Haha.. I've been wondering if we're all bidding against each other on ebay. I was watching those white parts too, but decided to go red. I'll have a full set of black plastics for sale soon. I'll let ya'll know before I list them on ebay if anyone is interested. I'd like to sell them as a full set, anyone know what a fair price is? I know EZ says black is faster, but I'll take my chances.

So twisted these Jedi be!
LOL - red has always been a solid good choice - my second bike was red - went to Black because more Black was around (and its faster - lol). Easier to stock up on back up parts with - though the bed-liner look is really growing on me.

It used to be much easier to avoid bidding wars between friends before e-bay started making the bid names private. It never made much sense to me to bid against someone you know who is going to outbid you anyway. If they're willing to go $100 and you're only willing to $50, why drive up the price? (not that I'm against paying fair market value though).
It also helped that you could tell a fellow Blaster that they're about to pay more for a used part than they would pay new.

My pet peeve is when someone says "hey I just put my 'Blast part' on e-bay" without offering it for sale here first. Sometimes that backfires when the item only sells for $1 and they could've got more for it here. I offered up my windshield for $100. No takers. It went for $140 on e-bay, thats why I offered the deal here first. $100 would have made me happy and someone else would have gotten a good deal on a much sought after part.

Ebay is full of stupid bidders who have no idea the real value of an item is. Some guy is asking $250 for a Blast front wheel, but retail is only about $200.

I'm a big believer in just passing stuff forward...at least stuff that I will have no real use for...giftee pays the freight : ) The bad thing is that every blastard I know lives out of state except Zane...and I loaded him up with goodies a while back...he came by and picked them up...handy for me..

And yes...E-Bay can get crazy...a popular goodie can go for way more than retail if a feeding frenzy gets going...you just gotta be smart and know what stuff is worth...I want a motor to build...and the only one I saw for a good deal was one in the carolinas that another fellow blastard ended up getting...and the seller would not ship it...it's a long drive from here to there...oh well...one of these days.

Gearheaderiko,

When I am with my buddy T-Roy (The guy nearest the camera) she knows things like that happen.
