Check ebay. While the seat you want usually goes for a high price, since you want either, I'm sure you can get it low (under $20+shipping).

Thanks, I have been checking, but can only find new ones for around $100. I thought maybe someone in here would have one that may not be in the best of shape that I could get at a lower price.

Keep watch on ebay(do a favourite search). I've recently seen $8.50 & $32 (and others cheap I didnt track) for the low seats.$60 is common. Tall seats go for a premium though, but $100 is the new price for either. They will come up cheap, but you'll have to be patient.
I've asked the same question when looking for just a seat pan with no luck. They are out there, its that these people may not be online frequently.

I have a low seat that I would like to swap out for a high seat as well. The seat came off a 2005 Buell Blast P3 when I purchased it with only 1000 miles wear. I am willing to pay up to 25.00 difference for the high seat as long as it is in decent condition. I plan to send the seat to Sargents to get recovered.
Cheers,

Just bought a 2003 Yellow Buell Blast. I was thinking I could paint it red but if anyone has red pieces to trade or sell hit me up.

Am looking for a stock exhaust pipe for my P3 (2003 Buell Blast). i know I'll have to learn to use Ebay also, but if anyone wants to do my homework for me, that's great! LOL
Any suggestions on what price range would be fair? Have NO idea what's on the Blast right now. Mechanic i've found says (in my words) it's too much pipe for the <bike>. An HD rider friend suggested I could re-jet it? Any suggestions?

theres no such thing as too much pipe! the carb on the blast could support a twin so just head over to the faq section. it has the jetting set up you need to get it running right. put a k&n drop in to let the intake breath a lil better to match the exhaust flow.

The only "too much" for a pipe would be too much noise...or maybe too much money. : )

Concur w/twisty & fast.

The pipe could only be too loud, if its too much anything. Could definitely be too little, but too much? I've run everything from stock, to strangled, to open header. Nothing was ever "too much".

Rejet it! If you have a picture of the exhaust we could more than likely identify it and recommend jetting or 45 slow jet, 175 main jet would be close!

Twist, Fast, and GearheadErikO;

I cringe when i post - what i know: anything beyond gas it and ride it...is basic confusion!!
Good thing I can laugh at myself and thanks to you all for your patience
LOL
No, the pipe is not too loud. It sounds like a wet fart! And i don't think the bike is running right, power wise. SO different than the 650 Yami/Max I rode for 20 years!
Currently, guy working on bike for me is willing to show me how to do the basic maintenance that I need to do and I want him/someone to do the rest that I can't be trusted with!
So far, I've paid (a different guy that I won't go back to) way too much to have turn signals replaced, a new front tire on, (going to need another one soon) put a very small leather bag on back right side of bike. Guy was supposed to do an overall safety check of the bike for me and give me a list of what needed done in what priority; along with a couple other minor things I asked him to do… that never happened.
The guy I'm using now has: replaced all fluids and filters on bike, done overall safety check on bike, mounted rear tire (I bought online and saved $).
I did buy the service manual plus got the parts manual by chance (it's still with my current mechanic-better get that back and keep studying it). Problem is, I'm a hands on learner. Don't understand enough reading the manuals. Show & explain to me, let me do it, I'll get it and retain it.
Gear, I'll email you my locale. Share it with whomever you see fit. If anyone's close enough and willing, I'll ride the bike to you, for your convenience, if you like. Unless you just want to come this way. Always have the river here to jump into !

LOL - when they where selling the Force - it was too loud, too much - 550 to 650, and too fragile, still it was the most powerful of the time - beating even the WB by just over 2 ponies - still they sold every one they made, of course they only did a limited run of 50 - using the automotive rubber block muffler mounting with the stock hardware on the lower front and some rubber washers between washers on the straight tab in the rear have held up for almost two years now - so I'm impressed - it has laster longer than any other Force. But the real kick comes from that Custom exhaust Terry P. gave me - wow - you can actually book it from the very bottom and still have a great top end and its quiet! - a priceless item in my book and I plan to have it copied twice at a local muffler shop - 1 back up and 1 for the bike - sorry off topic - I'm moving to Antioch - to my new to me house I just bought - would be close to where you live - if you can hang for a few weeks - I could BBQ paint the old stocker James and I traded back and forth - or you could just come over and say hi - these are easy bikes to work on - just take your time and you'll most always get it right, and if not, just redo - lol

Keep it under 60? Why? Is there something wrong with your bike? If you've got a problem with your bike that it needs to be kept under 60mph, then you probably shouldnt be riding it at all.
Maybe he was kidding?
You should be able to run your Blast as fast as you want or as fast as you can get it to go! (96mph is top speed, but getting it over 90 can be time consuming)

Anyone have an exhaust they want to sell?

I have to upgrade, this stock monster is killing me and looks like I'm dragging a small black moped under my bike.

I would love a D&D or a Buell pro series but I will take what is available.

I would like a Pro series myself, but they are getting scarce. I have seen a few systems on E-bay both used and new but only 1 D&D used and no Pro series. You can usually find both V&H and Jardine new though there.

D&D's are LOUD, V&H are junk they don't last, Jardine has the best header(a lot can be done with a good header) their can's are OK but their header mounting hardware is suspect, use stock Buell hardware plus rubber washers. ProSeries were never that good

Would like to temporarily trade Blast speedometers with someone in the Bay Area, Ca. I need one with over 7,500 miles, just for a day or so... I'll hardly put any miles on it (415) three five nine - 4 five 8 five. By the way, mine has around 3,500 on it.

So right now - my speedo says I have only 5000 or so miles on my daily rider Blast - means all these years owning it, its never been ridden - time to sell it and make some money! - lol - Craig got to try both bikes and now has an idea of where he can take these puppies - another seduced into the dark side.
The Uly was nice I could hear the fan a block a way - but when he was test riding the Force piped daily driver I could hear it from almost a mile away - of course shifting was stiffer on the daily driver, but it is to protect the linkage from shifting too hard - lol - allowing only firm shifting up but allowing very light shifting down - I set it up that way for the Banke's longevity.
The weekend toy just left him in smiles -

I just bought a 2004 Blast...my first street bike. I love it so far, except for the low profile seat. It just sits a little too low for me. I looked into buying the 27" seat, but it retails for about $100 which is a little rich for my blood. Anyone out there have a 27" seat they would sell for a reasonable price? Or, better yet, anyone interested in a trade? My low profile seat has a small abrasion where the previous owner laid it down, but otherwise is good shape. Obviously, I would factor that in to the trade in value. Also, I'm looking for some type of bungee system for the back of the bike and the Buell tool kit that originally came with the bike when it was new. Any suggestions.

Welcome Scotty!
To be honest, low seats are in high supply and low demand. Still a trade may be possible with someone. Watch ebay for deals.

There are 4 bungee holes under the seat frame. I use a combination of 2 short bungees in the front and one very long one in the back holes to hold my cooler on (or any other large items). You'll need to be creative.

I guess I was mistaken about the tool kit. I was told that by the guy I bought the bike from. At any rate, I am looking for a toolkit to do basic repairs and maintenance. Any suggestions?
