Just did a nice Alice run to tune up - very fun! Can't wait to see you all at SLO - how many from the south?

Loli and I are likely no-shows again this year. Maybe next year will look better.

2-Me and James! I'm sure none of the Blast racers are going and I've still not gotten any yes'es from anybody else (but I'm working on it).
Kyle, the honorary Blaster, will be there if he's not working.

See if you could talk a few of the other racers into comming - even though I know Northern Cali has the coolest route to there - the large group ride has always been fun and challenging!

Hey James - what do you have planed for this year?

Breaking news! We will have Sportster Diana joining us and perhaps a friend as well! The Northern contigent grows! - lol

EZ,

I'm still working on the route. I figure aroung 150-200 miles like last year. I don't know if we want to repeat onything we did last year, or have a completely new route.

I still think that we meed to stop at Morro Bay for another picture there at Morro Rock.

Do we want more coastal riding, more inland riding? More riding? Less riding?? Damage Mufflers, kidneys and lower backs on Santa Rosa Creek Road again??

Give me some input.

Are you talking about the museum in Solvang? We could do that ride. It's like 70 miles south of SLO.

I'm kinda thinking the Solvang museum is going to cut about 3 hours (2+ lunch)out of our day. I'm there at least twice a year, so i'm not real big on stopping there. Maybe a late saturday run for those who want to?
I'll go along with whatever the majority decides though.

Might just do that, have to see if work will conflict with that idea.

gearheaderiko- that museum is not that big, while I have yet to see the museum, I have seen the size of those rooms.

I figured about an hour and half - with maybe a light lunch there - 70 and 70 is 140 plus some scenery elsewhere - would make for a nice ride if twisties are incorporated - just a thought - I'm sure James you'll pick a ride as memorable as last years!

If you deal with AAA I'll call for a tow when we're out there!

Seriously I'll email you my cell phone number just in case things change at the last minute. You are welcome to join us for dinner either night or just hang for awhile.( I'm guessing you're 'on call'all weekend or working 12 hour shifts).

Do we have a head count for the SLO ride? I know that Erik and I are coming up from the south, who's coming from the north?

I have a few loops roughed out, and based on what the weather is going to be, we'll have to figure out where to go (coastal or Inland).

How about the American Sport Bike BBQ weekend of Oct 12 trying out SLO ride part B to Buellton? We might be able to get a few more Blasters coming.
I do however have a prior commitment that weekend, but its about 5 miles away! So I'll be there, albeit part time.

Good! OK Cali Blastards - time to make yourself legendary and Blast over to Buellton for a weekend of meeting other Buellers and enjoy a great BBQ hosted by American Sport Bike and ride some great roads with the new friends you'll meet there - the Northern contingent can contact me if you want to join in the ride down - I plan on taking the Coast - hwy 1 - a beautiful scenic ride with plenty of curves to keep you interested - most of the way down and up! Oct.13, 14, and 15th are the days! So mark your calender and let me know!

From an email I received. I expect to be there!
Greetings from American Sport Bike!!

Once per year, we sponsor a BBQ party to thank all our customers for their continued support. For the past few years, the BBQ has been held on a Sunday at the end of August right here at the shop in Vista, California. It has been well attended and is one of the largest gathering of Buell owners in the country. But it has been difficult for those further away from Southern California to get to on a Sunday and still get home.

So we're doing it a little different this year. This years gathering will be in Buellton, California (where else?) on a Saturday instead of Sunday, and in October instead of August, which should make it easier for folks from further away to attend. We'll still have a great BBQ, some nice pre-BBQ rides in the California coastal ranges, some very cool raffle prizes from many of our great suppliers.

The BBQ is happening Saturday October 14th, with many riders arriving Friday the 13th, and leaving Sunday the 16th. Group rides to and from the event are being planned. We have a bunch of hotel rooms blocked out.

You can find all the RSVP details Here and Here. Please RSVP if you're coming so we can make sure there is enough rooms and food.

Thanks,
Al & Joanne of American Sport Bike
