Ok, as stated earlier, the purchase of tools to work on the banana pre-empted the purchase of rearset parts...Fortunately, they did no such thing to the purchase of handlebars!! So, as has been stated over and over ad nauseum, the superbike bars are the ones that Buell should have put on stock. The looks and handling are much more aggressive. Some suggest cutting 1 to 1 1/2 inches off, I kind of like them a little wider though... facilitates the tuck without hitting my knees!!

Anyone here know where I can locate side view mirrors for the blast. I haven't replaced my bars (& I don't *think* I will), and I'm not too happy with the cute MM mirrors. I've read the posts about the end of bar mirrors, but I don't think I would like those mirrors (particularly since I'm not replacing the bars).

Thanks!!!

Bar end mirrors are great, they work fine with the stock handlebars and imho by themselves greatly improve the appearance of the blast. Also, they are cheap!! You can find them at most bicycle stores. Indy, will post a pic when I get home later today. On my blackberry right now lol.

Actually The Raptors where 35 watt - the bulb upgrade for the Demons - they are flimsier than the Demons though - lol - The other Falcon fairing looks tight though I would still mount it with the Acerbis straps; the Dominators rock still and the bulbs are an easy upgrade. I still like my Acerbis best - very durable - no problems, just have to add signals, though I must say my Black Demon has been a trooper with no failures so far and a bulb only loosening once - the plastic though isn't as durable as the Acerbis brand - who do offroad plastic parts for bikes as well and cost almost twice as much.

Superbike bars cut down 1 1/2" each side for lane spliting with 3rd eye mirrors and demon fairing - Works spring kit, lg shim,7.5 oil, Fork Brace by Crossroads, slightly trimed fender, Avon VS 110/70 fr., stock SS Braided brake line with Galfer pads -

I leave home at 545 in the morning - the sun comes up after I leave home - for in-city - even fog - they are good - no complaints, if I did night time boony riding regularly, then of course I would want more light - lol

Blastlvr, I've got Napolean bar end mirrors on both buells and love them. They put the mirror forward and out so they aren't in the way of your hands, like when you wave.http://www.chaparral-racing.com/Chaparral/productr .asp?pf%5Fid=360%2D1110&gift=False&0=assets%2Fhtml %2Fd%5Fstreet%2Easp%2CnavId%3Dd%5Fstreet%2A0%26men u%5Fid%3D%26Tree%3D%2CStreet&1=dept%2Easp%2Cdept%5 Fid%3D425%26navId%3D425%2A0%26menu%5Fid%3D%26Tree% 3D%2CHandlebars%2C%20Controls&2=dept%2Easp%2Cdept% 5Fid%3D418%26menu%5Fid%3D%26Tree%3D1%2CStreet%20Mi rrors&3=dept%2Easp%2Cdept%5Fid%3D671%26menu%5Fid%3 D%26Tree%3D2%2CNapoleon%20Street%20Mirrors&HSLB=Fa lse&mscssid=0049006A2226EF4663BCFFF3E11BE585

Concur! Look at Napoleon mirrors. Besides the bar end mirrors, they make mirrors that bolt into the stock location and work well.
Beware of Emgo mirrors and other cheapo brands. The quality can be so poor the mirror is worthless.

1963 Splitwindow

The Bus is gone now. I sold to a good friend who says I can buy it back anytime (or I have first shot at it). Just not enough room for everything (and my wife was pissed).

PS to Swampy: Note the Christmas lights and not any evidence of snow anywhere!

Back on topic: They are the Raask bars and I dont think there's a difference (at least when I saw a Laverda, the bars looked exactly the same). Love em. They do hit the tank in all positions except 2. Some grinding and they fit a lot better, still with some limitation. Cut 2 inches out of the middle and there's no problems or add some risers (though there's been some discrepancy on how well that works-never tried them). The adjustment is great, from leaned way over to bolt upright.
They also handle a crash well even though they look like a modified plumbing fixture. My bars were actually bent and broken (hence now 3" shorter), but the adjustment elbows held rock solid. They also did racetrack duty without any problems (IE coming loose).

Nice. I love old busses. It's hard to find a solid one on this side of the country. I'm thinking of trying these bars. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www. rearsets.info/images/laverda.jpg&imgrefurl=http:// www.rearsets.info/handlebars.html&h=375&w=500&sz=8 2&hl=en&start=10&um=1&usg=___HCWLkdrSIHA6N7DyaTqQw UfMJM=&tbnid=Hu0GkWC2bogXQM:&tbnh=98&tbnw=130&prev =/images%3Fq%3Dlaverda%2Badjustable%2Bbars%26um%3D 1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN

Raask, Laverda or Jota bars. Available also from Busters Motorcycles accessories, but at 60 pounds UK, it'll cost you more.

From the web, If true, I stand corrected"Verlicchi was the manufacturer of the authentic "Laverda Jota" adjustable bar, Brevettato is Italian for patented, and Raask has for a number of years made a copy, (of significantly lesser quality) of the original Verliccchi adjustable bar. Having had the Verlicchi original and the Raask imitation side by side on my workbench, the Raask appears to me to be a significantly inferior copy, particularly in the adjustment splines. Still serviceable, just not as nicely made as the original."

Swampy, you're confused. WE have to take them down otherwise we would get mixed up. You just need to look down. Snow=Christmas. Grass=Redneck!
Here: Sunny, 80 degrees, could be Christmas or 4th of July!

So I am a little late... here are some pics w/the superbike bars and mirrycle bar-end mirrors... 18 each from the bike shop, great quality, extremely adjustable and not a horrible amount of vibration.

Gearhead... I *really* like the pix you posted of the other Napoleons (the non-bar end mirrors). Can you give me the part name and where I can order those particular mirrors?
Thanks again!

I have the same mirrors as Dwinecracker..bought mine at a bicycle shop for..you guessed it...about 18 bux each...looks good...matches the stock turn signals...they are usable, but nowhere near as vibration resistant as the fugly old mickeymouse ears.

Blastlvr, I got my Napoleans, and lots of other parts like Avons, superbike bars, LEDs, etc. from Chaparral Motorsports-www.chaparral-racing.com Shipping is always real quick and, of course, if you spend enough coin the shipping is on them. BTW, we used to live in Marrietta and then Powder Springs. I really miss that area.
