Gold is good!

Yes to the smell of a new muffler - lol

The 2" CRG - aim it for the area you want to see in - if something fills that spot - don't go that way! - lol - thats how I have always run them - I'm used to them - some like the larger 3" CRG fold aways - you see more, some like the rectangular old cafe type, Erik runs them - they are very good - depends on what your looking to do with them - I run inexpensive 3rd Eye 3" Bar Ends on my city bike because they do well and are inexpensive to replace.

Gold is rich, blue is lean. Its unlikely that you'll ever keep it from discoloring one way or the other without obsessive cleaning.

Well as of right now after riding last night and to work its pretty damn gold! Lol what should I do? Also what's the header pipe made of? As when I got it, it wasn't polished at all and it kinda disapointed me. As I need to polish it now, but don't know the best way to do it. And lastly what are some diffrent levers I can put on that don't cost a whole lot. I know crg's are like 100 a piece... anything else. I don't like how stock is so big. And if not what crg's will fit without any problems.

Leave it - it is the ideal header color - as long as your not black or blue - your golden.

M2 levers fit and CRG made for M2 fit as well.

The XB and M2 are not interchangable - the seller is mixed up.

Just follow the instructions on the bottle of Mothers exhaust chrome polish - lol - all I ever have done is wiped mine down with WD40 - prevents rust.

Concur! Others also make exhaust polishes such as 'Blue Away" specifically for your problem. I'd only resort to sandpaper when your exhaust gets old. They also make coatings for inside the pipe, but I think you're too late for that!

My Jardine headpipe is a nice golden color also..darker near the head..the jetting is slightly rich with 45/175...the pipe is made from some sort of stainless...I carefully wiped mine down with brake clean before I fired it for the first time to be sure it had no oil or fingerprints on it, so the color seems to be normal for that variety of steel...I doubt that anything will keep it shiny short of an absolute compulsion to buff and polish. I think it looks good the way it is...wish it was titanium (it would color even more)..

45/175 should have you dancing between 14 and 15 af - more to the 14 side true by just a little - still lean on the bottom -
the pipe will turn gold from heat - the dark is from leanness, if rich excess soot building on the rear edge of the tail pipe, hard time idling down also.

Rich=slow idle.
Lean=fast idle.

True, however, when a bike is rich it will fast idle then go down - like its winding down, down, down - lol - then go back to normal idle - God knows I've been on both sides of this - lol - lean is coming down to a fast idle and constantly idling at a fast idle, and popcorn from the exhaust sound - lean. Its my experience at least. Note some people don't realize they are lean because they mistake the fast idle for the fast idle circuit that occurs when the bike is cold.
