in case anyone is interested here is what i have done in the few short weeks since i got my blast. removed the tank decals installed daytona bars from Chapparel installed Buell tractions grips (thanks Dave) changed the oil (amsoil 20-50) & filter changed tranny fluid (amsoil 20-50) adjusted primary chain adjusted clutch rejetted carb: 170 main, 45 primary, shimed the needle .050, turned idle mixture screw out 2 1/2 turns (thanks swampy) modified the air box (thanks EZ) installed K&N air filter turned the T for the crankcase breather inside the airbox so it is not pointed directly into the carb. as soon as i get home from work tomorrow i will change the plug and order a set of Napolean mirrors. i ordered a set of white Buell sticker but i kind of like the look of the bike with no decal's on it so i am not sure if i will use them or not. next up is a fairing, i think i will order one from J. C. Whittney (http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/tf-Browse/s-10101/Pr-p_Product.CATENT RY_ID:2000644/p-2000644/N-111+10211+600014200/c-10111) when it comes back in stock. i also am going to get a set of Cheng Shin tires in the following sizes: Front: 100/90-16 Rear: 130/80-16 and over the winter i will send the head out to Nallin to be reworked and then add a Jardine exhaust w/ a quiet core insert. and finally i will order a Blast Dash off ebay and add a tach to the bike. what started out as a simple bike to use as my everyday rider has turned into an obsession. | ||
