Sking - The moral of the story is you don't HAVE to, but your bike will run better if you do.

Frankly, I don't see the point of installing a different exhaust if you don't rejet the carb to match. Unless you're planning to have the dealer do the rejet (not a bad idea if you're not a wrench) down the road at the next scheduled service and you just want to install the new exhaust yourself (easy) now and run on the stock jets temporarily for a few thousand miles??... That would make sense.

i have a jardine on my bike now. i see a pro series on ebay. it is used and pricey 200 + 30 shipping. worth it? is is louder or quieter than my jardine? the biggest problem with my jardine is the ground clearance. it has dragged over speed bumps a time or two.

i have a pro series on my blast and it is verry loud. i am going to try the sportster header trick and see how it turns out.
