The other telling thing is the number on his bike. #1 is not awarded for anything other than winning the previous year's
championship in any motorcycle racing organization I'm aware of.

The guy has the skills to pay the bills (and a fair bit of luck too)

Did Rossi ever ride with a number other than his father's old "46?" One of the problems he had with Honda (and why he left) is that they were trying to force him to run with the "1" number but he refused. He is very superstitious about things like that.

All I can say is WOW!

That dude was highside city. What really made me question the legitimacy was his forward progression over the bars was smoothly reversed. Almost like a John Madden replay.

Would have been cool if Mamola did a couple of steps and hopped on like you see rodeo stunt riders and cowboys in
westerns do to mount a horse. Major style points if he managed it before he hit the grass.
