If you've been to one of our recent Anniversary Open Houses, you know that we have a bit of an unofficial tradition here. And this year is no different!

We just got confirmation that Erik Buell and the Thunderbolts will be playing at our Anniversary Open House this year, Sept. 22, 2007!

We'll have lots of Buell and Bueller-Friendly stuff going on, including:

-> Buell Demo Truck (with our own H-D demos available too - shhh, we won't tell!)
-> Buell and V-Rod Dyno Shootouts - register for the shootout free at Liberty's Service Counter, or call for more information! 732-381-2400 x27
-> Bike Show including a Buell Class - last year we had some absolutely beautiful paint come out - even though the weather was crappy. But it was so great to see the creativity out there for Buells! So get 'em on over here!
-> All the regular stuff, lunch, beverages, miscellaneous entertainment, the joy of seeing other Buellers and BadWeBBers, the honor of meeting world-famous Buellers such as Mutation_Racer, OdinBueller, and the Polish Assassin - to name but a few! Plus the race bike will be out there. It's a good time.

BTW it's worth noting that the Demo Truck will actually be here both Friday and Saturday. No confirmation on which models are on it yet. (!) If you have something you'd really like to ride, best get here on Friday for the best selection. We have a group rate negotiated with the local Best Western, which is less than a mile from the store (and on the same road!) so it's easy to get to and from. If you're interested, the number for the hotel is 732-381-7650 - make sure you mention Liberty Harley-Davidson for the negotiated rate.

Questions? PM me!!

To remind you -

Erik and our Parts Manager, Rob, and our S&R guy, Matt on drums

Erik signing my daughter. : ) And Odinbueller, of course.

So come down, make plans, it'll be fun!

Might be more stuff too, not sure yet. I'll keep ya posted.

: )

Look . . . if you are within the sound of my voice, this is a trip worth making.

Those of you who made it the The Boiler Room . . . were witness to a night that "just worked". . . the guys cooked.

Having just released the RIDERS OF THE EDGE cd the guys are pumped up and totally hyped about doing the Liberty Birthday Bash again. . . this started as a harmless accident a couple years ago and is quickly evolving into a "must see" gig.

Once again, it'll combine equal measure of music and antics with lots of time to just hang out. My bet is folks are plum chuck full of questions about the 2008's and the 1125. . . what more could you ask for than a band composed of 3 Buell employees and a Buell vendor.

Me?. . . I'm marking the date and setting out to lasso a couple more folks who I think would enjoy such and event. If you ever needed an excuse to see the New York City area during one of the prettiest times of year. . . . well. . . you're good to go!

Rock on wit your fool selves. . .

P.S. I was just thinking how cool it would be to draw Mr. Boiler Room "BadS1" to New York City. . . DANA . . DANA. . . DANA !

Last year, I said I was going and didn't show. And I regretted it. September 22 is my birthday. It would be nice to give myself a present and ride down.
Besides, I need to get myself a new pocket T.

Happy B-day to you Crusty, we share the same birth date. (although you have me by a few years..)

I had a blast there last year. Even scored a 2nd place show trophy with my filthy bike. Best of all was having some "guy" scribble on my frame.

Erik and the Thunderbolts rocked!
Got to meet Court and Gent. Jon.
Met lots of fellow BadWeBer's
Checked out the Queensryche bikes.
Got some Buell swag - Yes they have Buell shirts and hats and sweaters and key chains and on and on.....
Rode a CityX on a demo ride.

But I can't make it this year due to local obligations. (You know, family b-day party and all...)

Last time I went to a bike show and entered the "Buell Class" a guy on a redneck mutant entered and the judges
went gaagaa over that. If he would have entered the custom class (where he belonged) he would have been murdered
by those bikes.

Really my bike has a bunch more money into it and is far more functional than any rigid redneck kit with a paint job.
If you were never going to leave town, or ride for more than 15 minutes the redneck wouldn't be too bad...

Just an observation, but there should be limitations on what you can do before you get bumped up to the custom class.

FWIW I wish I wasn't half way across the country from Liberty.

Sounds like fun!

Count me in. It was lots of fun last time, inspite of the weather.

Any Long Island Guys riding up?

Damn, I hope that doesn't mean I have to wash my bike again, does it?

Rahway, my old Home Town... I remember when when Liberty's building was a Chevrolet Dealership! See you all there on 9/22. Also hope to see some of you again at the Inside Pass Track Day at Pocono on 9/27. Can't wait to ride the 1125R! Is Buell a great company or what?

Daveymac - holy hell, you're literally minutes from me!

I'm sitting in my cubicle in the RPI Tech Park in North Greenbush as I type this, and live up in Clifton Park.

let me know if you're serious about going and what you're plans are - the only Buell guy I really knew around here just sold his for a Honda ST1300

I'd like to go and don't mind riding with a partner/small group - so long as you don't mind riding with a 24-year-old kid on a Firebolt.

Actually, last year there was supposed to be a barbecue guy with chicken-kabobs and maybe beef-kabobs, some other barbecue stuff for sandwiches? I can't remember the details. But through some sort of a miscommunication, he thought it was Sunday, so he didn't show.

As it happened, with the weather, we didn't have as big of an event as we had hoped. But this year we're going to try to do something interesting again.

What was it the previous year? Was it mexican? I can't remember. Have to pull out the ol' notes I guess.

Hmm, so that's one vote for Mexican. : ) Anyone else? Hey now, no lobster dinners here - Barbecue? Sandwiches? Mac N Cheese?

Hamburger Helper?

I don't think it's been set in stone yet. . .

(joking aside, I LOVE hamburger helper.)

Ah . . . Year #1 of The Thunderbolts World Tour we enjoyed Mexican food and it was fabulous.

I, myownself, have never passed a helping of Hamburger Helper and. . . in fact . . lived on it during a particularly memorable summer at 502-1/2 South Crawford in Fort Scott, KS.
