An old 1600? With 300 HP? Well, we all have our idiosyncrasies. |

It's just the picture it conjures up of an old Datsun with 300 ponies stuffed into it, being given the gun & disintegrating into the distance, leaving Erik sitting on a seat in the middle of the road with a wheel in his hands & little else. |

100,000 total, rt, not all Ulys. I'm all for a 'roving' host hotel. A movable feast, so to speak. 2008 Homecoming should be huge. I personally know a few who will be first time attendees. I'm all for the '25th' jackets too, and anything else. I'll take one of each of everything! Bret |

All the 25th Homecoming swag should be for people who make the trip to East Troy ONLY. If they get caught selling it on Ebay they get 30 lashes with a Uly belt and barred from Buelldom for life!! Then they get Drawn and Quartered by 4 Blasts (That could take awhile) |

Heres a request, I know Bubba Blackwell was here for us this year but I'd like to see him again, but not alone.....accompanied by Craig Jones. Craig was here maybe 7 years ago if memory serves. What a duo that would be to see. Next request, I'd like to see as some guest speaker's at the dinner. The Test riders for the 1125R. Mcwilliams,Mckinzie,Craig Jones, and Higgbee. They all had time on the bike and would love to pick the minds and there thoughts. Not to mention just to be able to hang out with these guys for a evening. |

I know Steve..... But to my understanding the three I listed had alot of involvement and from across the pond as well. Hell who wouldn't mind meeting Mcwilliams and Mckinzie?? |

I'd be willing to help any way I can on the "preservation society" program. I know a little something about a few things. I agree that there should be a minimum 1 year moratorium on selling any of the 25th anniversary schwag on ebay. It's just not cool to sell the freebies to Buellers that couldn't make it...now if you wanted to GIVE it to someone else that would be the epitome of cool. |

I got to meet Jezza in Daytona, He's a good guy and VERY enthusiastic about the Buell brand and way of doing things. He even autographed my rascal scooter that I had with me to get around the pits. He said that was a first |

"I thought Bubba said he would be attempting to jump some cars in July of 08" he did say that he would be jumping at a event when Harley-Davidson opens their museum in Milwaukee next year. I don't know what that date will be though. |

To the Buell Preservation Society: If my memory serves me right the "original" H-D shed was dismantled sometime during the AMF years for safe keeping. It was stored on pallets in the yard at the Juneau facility. At some point in time an over-zealous individual decided that the yard needed to be cleaned up. He thought the pallets were just scrap wood so he burned them in a big bonfire. By the time anyone realized what was happening it was too late. Somehow I don't think the Buell facility will suffer the same fate. It would be unfortunate, however, if it's importance were lost to the masses. Count me in on any project to preserve that building. "Looks like should have Blake make this thread with several sub sections to keep track of things. " I agree with Rex, Blake should create sub-topics so we can get a handle on things. I know that I am looking for ideas for Hal's events next year and I am sure that the folks at Buell are also quite interested in what everyone would like to see. Unfortunately, as good as many of the ideas are or maybe in the future, I am sure that it won't be possible to do all of them. I hope that the things I will be involved in at Hal's will be as memorable next year as they were for many of you this year. BudC |

"Looks like should have Blake make this thread with several sub sections to keep track of things. " I'm sure he plenty of time to do that. Right after he finishes transcribing the Interview with Erik. I'll mark it down on my Badweb Calendar. |

While on my ride around MN 2 weeks ago I met a guy that had an '01 M2. I was telling him about the 25th and he said that he'd be interested in coming. He hadn't been to any in the past. |

It just dawned on me that it was said that there are plans for activities at the Summerfest grounds. Well for those who live here in the area know the dates for the Homecoming fall on the last weekend of Summerfest. I guess I just wonder if they are planning something at Summerfest or Summerfest dates changed and I just don't know it (which is possible.....I have a bad listening problem). |
