yeah that's strange! i'd want at least 6 grand to rent my bike out for a week, what does he do with a lousy $475 if somebody crashes the bike? geez i got more than 475 in carbon fiber alone  | ||

Add the extrs $15 a day insurnce and the optional extra $10 a day for collision. Only 700 miles and then .35 per mile over that. AND all the waivers you might sign....... I would be looking at $1200 bill plus gas, food, lodging. If I were to rent it for a week. It would see some serioous use. | ||

If he can work all that out and not end up in some terminal litigation vortex, I say 'more power to him!' Much better than using it for a chopper donor bike! Looks like one really nice S2! He's also got a Honda and a couple of BMWs for rent. AL (Message edited by leftcoastal on April 06, 2006) | ||

Hey guys. I am the person who is renting bikes on eBay including my sweet Buell S-2. Thanks Leftcoastal for the support and heads up about this board. Yes I might be nuts, but I believe that people just want to have a good time which is why Im renting bikes to people. I love my Buell, it's my favorite bike hands down, and handles the mountains of Georgia splendidly. If you folks have any suggestions as to some other bikes I might add to the fleet, please let me know. I already have a Honda Rune, S-2, BWM K1200GT, BMW R1200RT, and Honda ST1300, and am looking to add some others. Any suggestions? If any of you folks are out in the area please let me know. best of luck to you. i'd check with the attorneys and insurance companies to make sure you wont get completely swindled if something awful happens on a rental. good luck! D |
