I am looking for some gear for my track day and was hoping to find out where some of you have found the best deals. |

ebay, Dennis Kirk close outs, Motorcycle Accessory closeouts, etc. Daves (Appleton HD), one of our sponsors, makes some pretty good deals too. |

http://www.newenough.com/index2.htm These guys sell some closeouts and discontinued stuff, but the price is right! And everything they sell is new. I've ordered from them a couple times and have not been disappointed. |

In addition to Newenough & Motorcyclecloseouts also give www.tonker.com a try. Ordered a helmet thru them, best price anywhere, dirt cheap shipping & it got to me 2 days from when I placed the order. There are times when I want something "NOW" & I will check the local dealers out, then when I check out the web I discover plenty of times I can save $50-75 easily & thats on newly released items. Older items can be had for savings of $100-200-300 & more sometimes. |

In addition Ebay can be very good but you need to know your prices & be absolutley positive the gear will fit. I havent purchased any clothing off ebay but have gotten a lot of bike parts there. Pipes, mirrors, levers, forks, etc. Never had any problems with the sellers either. Just check out their feedback & make some sound decisions. |

Tonker motorcycle gear and paintball supplies? That's an odd combo, even if motorcyclists and paintballers do have alot in common. |

I think the bottom line is the mark up on both m/c gear and paint ball stuff is the common thread. |

Its going to be hard for anyone to beat Tonkers prices on Joe Rocket gear. The prices on the website arent what you pay. Email them & they will email you the "code" to enter in your order which lowers the prices another 15%. |

I put together my entire riding outfit, KBC VR-1 helmet, Joe Rocket leather Jacket and pants, gloves and Cruiserworks boots, on eBay, but it took about 4 months to get the style, size,(XL), and prices that I wanted. In other words, if you need it now, you'll be very lucky to find it on eBay, on the other hand if you are patient, and are careful with the seller's feedback you can't beat the prices. |

I've been wearing a 2-piece set of Teknic Chicane leathers I bought from Dave about 18 months ago. They seem to be holding up well and for the price I think they are giving me good value. |

Well just so everyone knows, I have read your input and appreciate it greatly. I collected all the suggestions and organized them onto my personal webpage so I can click through them all in an organized fasion when looking for gear over the next 4 months... Thanks again, and if you have more, keep them coming. |
